A woman in the eye of danger… When Athena Bridges signed up for college, her plans were to make new friends and collect experiences. They did not include being caught in the crossfire in the raging war between the government and a powerful drug lord. A man on the brink of redemption… Webb Worthington didn’t plan falling in love again…especially not with the woman he’s supposed to protect. But when love has a clear shot, it aims, fires, and to hell with consequences. When the stakes become nuclear and they’re faced with unimaginable loss, they have to choose between giving up or fighting with everything they’ve got. *This is the conclusion to W, the love story that has swept readers' hearts.
"I write because I love it and for no other reason. The minute I stop enjoying it will be the exact moment I will stop writing."
Anne Leigh is a 30-something-year-old who refuses to let the calendar dictate her age. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Nursing. She likes to write about strong women and equally strong guys who grapple with their emotions when faced with something as intangible as love.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband. With her crazy schedule, she gets frustrated at L.A. traffic and needs an escape to keep her sanity, which her characters provide.
She did not think of publishing her stories and when she finally did, she's truly appreciative of every, single person who found the time to let her characters become parts of their world.
She appreciates all the readers who leave kind comments/reviews on where they purchased the book because without them, all her stories would remain locked up in her computer.
What an amazing conclusion to Athena and Webb’s story! A is a fast paced book that once I picked up I was unable to put down!
After finishing W I had to read A! I’m glad that this book had been released already, because I am not sure if I would have been able to wait after the ending in W! Webb is away from Athena and so for the first few chapters all we get is Webb’s point of view. The torment he is going through not knowing what is going on with Athena, you feel his pain. My heart was breaking for him and I felt the anger inside of him as well. I wanted to hurt the people responsible for all the pain these characters were going through just as much as Webb did, but really I just wanted them safe and sound. When Webb is reunited with Athena, I was scared she was going to pull away, but really it only brought the two of them closer, and it proved that these two truly do belong to one another.
With Athena safe, that doesn’t mean that they are in the clear. There is still someone after Athena and her father, and Webb and Liam are doing everything to find them and bring them to justice, while still giving Athena the life she deserves. I adored Athena’s makeshift 21st birthday and the one she got when she was able to go out and celebrate. Seeing her friends and Webb finally all getting along and becoming one unit was amazing, and seeing Athena truly happy and living the life she’s always wanted was beautiful.
We also in this book get to hear Webb’s secret and oh what a secret it is, and it will break your heart and it is one you won’t see coming. The way Athena handles it shows how much older and wiser she is beyond her years, and how unbreakable her and Webb’s bond truly is. When everything comes out and we find out who is after Athena and why, the way it was handled was amazing. The purity in Webb, Athena and even Athena’s fathers hearts is beautiful, even after all they have been through.
This story was a perfect conclusion to Athena and Webb’s story, full of mystery, angst, love and suspense. I couldn’t get enough of them and as much as it pained me to say goodbye to these characters, I loved how their story ended. I can only hope that Anne will give us stories for the secondary characters as I would love to see Liam, Denton, Mario, and Dyan all get their chances at love (and maybe we can see Webb and Athena in their stories too!). If you’re looking for a duet with the perfect mixture of romance and suspense, definitely pick up the W Duet by Anne Leigh today, you will not regret it!
