Evea Jordan has a life many would kill for.She has a husband, little daughter and money to spare. She is a young beautiful street savy professional. Adamie takes her on the ride of her life. Their steamy love afair begins inside the prison; but soon spills onto the streets of Philly. She struggles to keep up in both worlds; but it just may be too late!

About the author

Lati`a D. Johnson is the self-published author of her debut novel, &;INSIDE~OUT&;. She is both a poet and fiction author; A fan of contemporary African-American authors (including Sister Souljah and Terry McMillan.) She joins the burgeoning club of female, African-American self-publishers (including Zane &;Addicted&; and Terri Woods &;True to the Game&; fame) Johnson Productions Press. Johnson is a graduate of Cheyney State University and Springfield College of Massachusetts with a Masters degree in Community Psychology. While working as a Therapist for several years Johnson has helped her clients through tough times. She specializes in helping people reach their fullest potential, and she plans to continue doing so through her writing. She is in the process of starting an inner city youth mentoring group that gives children an opportunity to develop writing skills. Although writing has not been one of her educational paths, she has a passion for story telling through poetry and novels. Johnson grew up on the mean streets of North Philadelphia. Her rough surroundings and street wit flows freely through her writing. She holds nothing back as she places her readers' right in the middle of each scene. She is a young entrepreneur that has overcome many obstacles in her life. As a new author and CEO of Johnson Production Press (also known as Johnson Publications). She vowed that she would not relinquish%50 or more of her earnings to a big publishing company, but instead she would create an environment where authors would be nurtured and a part of the publishing process.In addition to the INSIDE~OUT book series (Part II due summer 2008) she will publish Mind, Body & Soul (Book of poetry in spring TBA). Late spring of 2009 she will introduce another novel (Blue Mirage). She will be introducing above books as well as, LOVE X s TWO by new up and coming author TavyDAY.

Evea and Donte Johnson are a happily married couple with a young daughter. Donte owns a construction company, which supports a very comfortable lifestyle for his family. As their daughter embarks on her first day of kindergarten, Evea begins a new job as a psychotherapist at a correctional facility. While she enjoys supervising a staff of five therapists, one thing she does not expect is to be attracted to one of the inmates. She begins a torrid affair with him that gets too close to home when he is released from prison, and the resulting consequences are devastating.

Lati’a Johnson’s debut INSIDE OUT is a look at a non-traditional love affair – that of a professional female and an inmate. Though the story was enjoyable, it could have used more plot and character development. I did not warm up to any of the characters, nor could I understand their motives. INSIDE OUT is a quick read that packs a punch in the end.
