as good of a guide on pure React as any. I mean pure in that he includes minor syntactic sugar like styled components, CRA, Tailwind; but none of the frameworks built on top of react. That may be a pro or a con, depending on your level and your goals.

However, I didn’t find this nearly as helpful as it could be to some people. They way the sections are structured, you pretty much need to be working along with the long running projects. It gets very hard to follow as JUST a book. This may not be an issue for people, but I personally wanted something I could just read, when I’m not around the computer to be working along. I and the vast majority of others, find videos to be way better for learning, books are just a valuable extra resource when you can’t be in your editor

For that reason I’m not giving it 5* I just wish he would have given clear, concise, ENCAPSULATED examples of the concepts covered. Separation of concerns is a first class priority in any project, so it should have been here, rather than rambling and cramming new features into previous chapters code.
