I’m finally ready to put my trust in my mates… But what if trust isn’t enough?
When my heat turns deadly, my mates face an impossible choice: risk my trust, or risk my life. And we don’t have time to recover from its impacts, because Kylan won’t rest in his quest to capture me.
We have to go on the offensive. Against an organization as vast as the vampire mafia, that’s easier said than done.
Will the bonds we forge be enough to vanquish an enemy so paranoid barely anyone has seen his face?
Or will I end up losing something precious to me before the mission is complete?
Forged Bonds is the final book in the Frayed series. Start with Frayed Trust for a why choose paranormal omegaverse series featuring an abrasive witch Omega and the Alphas she (eventually) decides belong to her. Check content warnings at the front of the book.
Olivia Lewin loves all things sex, love, and magic. That's what drew her to reading and writing why choose/polyam romance and PNR in general. She wanted to write all the books that she couldn't find already created.
In her novels you'll find all manner of heroes from all walks of life, and a strong encouragement for everyone to love everyone. M/M love between harem members is a staple of her writing.
I loved the Frayed series and looked forward to every new release. Forged Bonds is the third and final book in the series and I freaking loved it. The sass, the snark, and the steam... great entertainment.
Omg, I can't believe it but Freya has grown so much by the end of this book. Freya who is used to doing everything on her own is accepting help from other people. She's also opening up her heart and dealing with her emotions instead of shoving them to the side. Freya starts showing a softer, loving side but doesn't worry because Freya still has her edge and is even more of a badass.
Everyone is getting closer, not just with Freya but with each other. There is a lot of flirting going on and everyone is testing their relationships with each other feeling how things work. Nolan was the biggest obstacle because he had a lot of childhood trauma so I was extremely happy when Nolan finally gets out of his own way. I loved seeing the emotional side of Emmett in this one, he's a stoic teddy bear who doesn't express his feeling much but feels deeply. One thing is clear while everyone has their own relationships within the group, a group as a whole they are everything to each other, protective, possessive, supportive, and loving.
I have to give it to Olivia, there were a lot of hot scenes in this book as well as loving moments. I was excited about a few things. One, we finally get to visit Zemterra (the Demon world) which turns out to be a little different than I pictured. Second just when I thought we were gonna get answers about the mysterious Joanne (family friend) things get even weirder and nothing is answered. I need at least a novella to explain her because something goes down in this book that has me asking lots of questions. Finally, the big bad, Kylan Jitara, has made an appearance and readers get a look into Nolan's family.
Forged Bonds was a fantastic ending to Freya's series. A lot of things were resolved from relationship issues to a face-off with the main villain. There was plenty of steam, danger, and magic. Things were a little touch and go, and there is plenty of trauma to go around but overall Freya and her guys got a HEA and had the best epilogue. I'm gonna miss Freya and her guys but maybe readers will be able to catch up with them in Maisie's book.
The overall plot is this series was fairly decent, and now, after book 3, I get why the emotions ramped up as quickly as they did. I wish the author had taken more time to explore the past lives, but no great hardship that she didn’t.
Oddly enough, I did find myself skipping pages as the s£x was just a bit too much - and that never happens to me!! In a romance reader at my core and get annoyed as fade to black books. This… is the opposite. Oh, it’s a PNR alright, but holy smokes, there’s just so much - and EVERYONE! Kinda sweet actually, but descriptive, lol.
It's been a good series. My only 2 complaints is I thought the fmc would have atleast 1 mate who was hers and hers alone.. I thought it'd be ozzy but nope... secondly it felt a little unsettled/unfinished at the end i think some of the reason this was is that we didnt get some scenes with certain characters in the smexy place, like we never saw a 1 on 1 with nolan just told about them experiencing something in a hallway, and then we never saw a first time for our fmc and em. It just felt largely unfinished but I think it's because the author has plans for a future book for the other known characters but it kinda just made the ending of the series unfulfilled. Anyways still the books were good .
Another complaint that came after writing this is the author never spoke of any birthcontrol even just spell wise and I dislike when authors do that. I get that this is a fictional book but I personally like when authors try to show in some way that the characters are adults who go about intimacy maturely because even though this book is 18+ doesn't mean that younger ones won't read it. So they need to see the mature way of thinking of intimacy and the possible concequences of not going about it in a safe way especially during the times we are living in. Anywho this doesn't detract from the story but it does in the rating I'll give it (I usually just deduct a point).

I agree with some other reviews here I think having 1 guy that was interested in Freya alone might’ve helped …. Idk it was like every page was smut. Yeah I know that’s what we’re here for but the story from book 1 was interesting and I’m having to slog through sex to get a glimpse of it. I dnf’d.
What bothered me in this book was the total separate relationships we had within the harem. I why choose 2 ways. Either they are all in or they are all for the h. This one was too weird because yeah they were all in for the h (which was really slow) but the guys had separate relationships with each other. Yup not for me
Freya loses her driving force that was her whole life. Absolutely hated what she gave up at the end.
I had such high hopes for this series. Book 1 was amazing- 5 stars
Don’t know what happened or why the author chose to go in a certain direction in books 2 and 3.
Book 2 was not Book 3 should’ve been a different rescue mission.
I feel like Freya just started to come into her own in book one and the next book is about a different set of characters which would’ve made sense if Freya would’ve succeeded at what she wants to do in book one -
The book is written well and certainly had its emotional moments, but didn’t like what happened. Glad she got her mates, but didn’t like where everyone and everything ended up.
Especially hated the entire memory loss thing - **** that memory part was terrible. Sorry another path should’ve been used.
Might might try book 1 about the sister, but I don’t know.
The book was fine. I skipped chapters, because I don't need 2 chapters of smut for every chapter of plot. Like, I'm always up for smut, but this was a bit crazy. I wouldn't have removed stars for that, I just want to let others know in case they care. Would have been 4 stars, as it is decent, I liked the storyline, but will likely never read it again. I took it to 3 stars because we still saw nothing happen with Maisie. Even with her getting her own book, we could have seen the Duke's murder, and Freya and Maisie reconnecting before whatever splits them up. Or something. It was just such a point of sadness throughout Freya's books, and the entire reason she was on the run, and we didn't get any sort of anything on it.
I could not put this series down. Every book had so many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, but none more so than this one.
Freya and her guys have been through so much and I loved reading about her getting her happily ever after.
I loved the characters in this story and the poly aspect of this harem. I feel like each character gives Freya something different and together they make such a good pack!.

The first few chapters of the 1st book were written decently well. After the mc was basically made a sl4ve is when the writing devolved. I don’t even want to touch on the Stockholm Syndrome plot and the weak willed mc, that’ll take too long. There was no character growth across all 3 books. And the writing got worse somehow. I would love for authors to care about their craft again. I have no more grace to give. This year in RH has been one of the worst. Writing quality AND plot are in the gutter.

This book was the perfect wrap up to this series. We saw the bonds between all our live interests grow stronger and settle into something unique and beautiful between them all. We saw Freya grow as a person and as a partner, trusting her men to be there for her and trusting herself to make good choices.
I feel like Olivia wrote the perfect ending for this pack, and I loved every word of it.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to this series. We see Freya and her bond mates relationships grow and strengthen. Freya herself has a lot of personal growth, and learns to trust and lean on her men when needed. We find out if Freya finally gets her revenge on Kylan, with a few battles between the 2 parties. Was good to see some more of the supporting characters from previous books. I would love to hear more about Altair, Sky, Joanna and Iris. Maybe this is something we will get in the future.
This book was a BEAST, which makes sense considering how much still needed to be wrapped up. And you’ll never catch me complaining about a long book. There was so much character growth and relationship development as this group tried to complete their objective of killing the man who desperately wants Freya for himself. There are moments of love, lust, heartbreak… it has a little bit of everything. And it perfectly set up for Freya’s sister’s story. I can’t wait to read more in this world.
This is a strong conclusion to the Frayed series. It still has the snark, sass, and personality. Freya shows a lot of growth in this book along with her guys. I loved seeing different aspects of their personalities. Questions were answered and storylines have been wrapped up. There are still some characters that I would love to read more about. I can't wait to read future works from Olivia Lewin.
That was an absolute incredible ending to the Frayed trilogy! Freya has been a badass from the start and even though she continues with her very stubborn self, she also reveals her softer side and it’s the sweetest thing! I think the thing I love the most about this series has been the intricate connections between each member of the harem. I’m so sad this is over but I can’t wait to see what’s next, and what’s in store for Maisie!
*puts fire hose down* Woooo. That was HAWT! Perfect ending to Freya and her guys' story, but I'm looking forward to the extended epilogue novella and the spin off series, cause I'm greedy like that. Can't get enough of them. Third and final book picks right back up from the last book and is, if even possible, even more panty meltingly hot. Action packed, fun, suuuuuper NSFW and just perfect.
As always Olivia hits you with a stressful, funny, heartbreaking book. Forged Bonds was so so good, read it so very fast. Watching Freya finally accept her men was amazing. Meeting and following along Nolan was amazing, loved Nolan. Loved that there was seriousness, funniness, and spicyness. Such a great ending to a great series.
I seriously have been hooked on the series from book one! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get over how badass Freya was and I’m soooo glad that we got to see more of Emmett. I’m so sad that this series is over but it was such a great series! It’s totally going on my comfort reread list for the future! Can’t wait for your next series!!!
I absolutely loved the series ! Especially the stabby prone bad ass FMC ! Freya is my spirit guide for sure 🤣 The series was heart warming, intense, funny as heck, and all around great. What I loved most was the kinky aspects & the all around love it made the story more endearing & hot all at once ❤️
Frayed has become one of my favorite series, especially in the omegaverse genre!! This last book was the perfect ending! I can't wait for Maisie's series. PS Nolan is my favorite!

This is the final book in the series. Non stop STEAM. It answers all your questions and had a great ending. I can’t wait for what this the author has planned next.

I really enjoyed this series. It has been addictive and I really felt like the characters grew in this one. Freya has finally learned to trust in her mates and to protect them with everything she has. I am looking forward to her sisters story. It will be interested after finishing this one.
I had no idea this was the authors first series. That explains the few scattered typos. But I’m not sure why I am surprised that the story line and character development was so good!
A pretty good series. Not my favorite I like when the omega is the center not everyone but. I’m also left with questions. Will they be answered in another series? Or am I just left guessing about her sister? Grey? Her aunts friend?
I absolutely loved this series. I got the first book for free on stuff your kindle day, and ended up purchasing the last two because I enjoyed the series so much. The plot line is absolutely incredible and I love the character development and relationships. 10/10 recommend if you like RH.
WHY IS THIS SERIES OVER ALREADY? I am so in love with Freya and her boys. I need more dom omegas in my life!!! The action and SPICE in this novel. All on point. Have already read it twice
