I don’t know who to trust anymore. Learning to use my power isn’t all fun and games, especially with the annoying Professor X, but I have to buckle down. The monster situation in Nexus isn’t getting any better. And neither is my love life. Baptiste is about to get married, and Huego, that sexy traitor, is missing. My lessons on using my ability aren’t going very well, and when my teacher goes missing, I’m back to muddling around on my own—and failing miserably. Things are getting weirder by the day, and I don’t know who to trust other than Wally. When he gets kidnapped, I have no choice but to offer myself in trade. But what if my sacrifice spells the end of everything?
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
The Monster King By Eve Langlais Things get crazy in this book and very exciting. Unexpected situations and twists emerge. All kinds of loose ends get tied up with surprise endings. Well done!
Great book This is a wonderful ending to this 3 book series. Lots happen in this book and Ruby and her friends need to figure out what’s going on. The mystery of who the bad guy is and what the issue with Nexus is revealed. We also learn of Ruby’s origin. Her interest in Baptiste and Huego works itself out and she chooses one who loves her. They have some sweet moments and fun banter. Ruby learns a little more about her magic and does good things with it. This was a very fun read that kept me intrigued. I usually only listen to audio books while driving but this was so interesting that I listened to it even after I’ve arrived home. I recommend this series and especially this 3rd book. I can see me listening to this one again.
This book was so well written and full of excitement. This author's imagination and ability to convey a story makes you feel like you are actually there. Her descriptions of people and places are in such detail that you can picture everything about them. Ruby is in a lot of trouble in this book and finds out that a lot of secrets and lies have been a big part of her life. Wow! I loved this story.
That was wild! So many twists, every time one thing is revealed, things veer off into another unexpected direction. No wonder poor Ruby is so confused about what is what. It wasn’t complicated, it just had many layers to uncover, and most revealed things you didn’t see coming. Extremely happy with the way things wrapped up, and loved that little hint of what was going on with that loose end <3
I love the storyline and everything character except the main character. She was pretty stupid. How on earth do you reveal your doubts to the person you suspect. Panics and breaks down with no evidence anyone has been harmed. The other characters also acknowledged the character ridiculous actions. Yea love the story Eve but the main character could’ve been smarter
Ruby and her friends find themself in some tough situations. Tell things come to ahead. Ruby finds her father he is a God that is asleep under the town in the ruins. But the lady boss is the evil mastermind that’s is trying to get Ruby to open his tomb so she can steal his power. So enjoy the read and see what happens,!!
Such a lacklustre ending to a series that got off to a rollicking good start. It was tied off to neatly and some really meaty relationships and storylines were just waved away. Kept reading because I thought it would get better but alas...it did not.
I’d have given a higher rating but the curse words were excessive and the gd was uncalled for. That was a huge turn off for me. I won’t be buying any more books from this author
This book fell off towards the end. The over the top raunchy sex scenes were embarrassing ridiculous. The Big Boss scene fell flat and uneventful. The plot twist that Hugo was Odin was laughably predictable. Too bad. The series had potential but the Author needs a better editor.
