Sometimes you need a break from life on the road… But then again, it can be murder. RV traveler and amateur sleuth, Tulia Blake, checks into a hotel in New Orleans, which happens to be hosting a vampire convention.
With some time to kill and insatiable curiosity, she decides to attend the convention, thinking it will be fun.
Fascination turns to dismay however, when one of the attendees that she had just spoken to is discovered outside the hotel the next day, murdered.
Exsanguination, or blood loss, is found to be the cause of death, which is more than a bit alarming when one is staying at a hotel that is hosting a vampire convention.
Tulia, Samuel, and a few of the people that she met at the convention start looking into the murder, all the while looking over their shoulders for things that go bump in the night.
Can this sucker for a good mystery discover the truth before the clues ebb away? Find out in this exciting Cozy Mystery!
When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.
Another will written murder mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller short story by Patti Benning (Rambling RV Cozy Mystery book 7). Tulia has traveled to New Orleans in the middle of a vampire festival which she is planning on enjoying. Then a woman 🚺 is murder by a vampire? She and Samuel have a change in their relationship. They end up ☝ in the middle of the investigation which leads to the capture of the killer. Hopefully continued in the next book. I would highly recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 👒😀😡
In this book Tulia is in New Orleans and at a hotel which is hosting a vampire convention with a book signing. Her friend and private eye Samuel is with her. When Tulia discovers a dead body she in intrigued enough to keep her ears open to see if she and Samuel can solve the crime. She is also dealing with her stalking ex Luis.
I love Tulia as a main character and her love interest Samuel. They are great friends and just nice and simply enjoy each others company. I enjoy these fast pace books and love the descriptions of the food and people in New Orleans. I also love that she travels with her parrot and takes him on walks with her. I am kind of getting fed up with the whole Luis stalking thing. Dude you cheated she left and won money you are not entitled to it.
Tulia was looking forward to her stay in New Orleans. She wasn't excited about the large crowd of people checking into the same hotel. Yes, New Orleans is a big city known for it's parties she just didn't realize is was were the vampire convention would be, till she saw all the people in costumes. She meet Tanta and Milo while waiting to check in. Samuel was there to, but was back in the line to check in. Seeing him, made Tulia feel relief and something else stirring in her. After getting their rooms. Next came a murder and text messages from Luis. Not again. Enjoy the adventures of Tulia and see what happens in New Orleans!? 🌹
This was the 7th book in the Rambling RV Cozy mystery series I have read. Louisiana is Tulia Blake’s next stop. She’s staying in an hotel in New Orleans rather than her RV again. But there is a vampire convention going on in that same hotel. While there, she finds one of the convention goers dead. Tulia and Samuel try to help figure out who did it. Also, she’s gotten some messages that Luis knows where she is. Can they finally figure out how he’s locating her and get him to leave her alone as she heads to a new destination? This was another enjoyable, quick read that had you wondering what was going to happen next.
Tulia was taking another break from being outdoors and staying in a NOLA resort where there happened to be a vampire book convention...and of course, a murder to look into. At least this time Samuel was there to sleuth with her and help her feel more secure. I like that even though she's a strong person, she can admit when she needs some help and company. I was right about whodunit and the showdown was pretty exciting. Can't wait to see where Tulia's travels take her next! Especially with the good news Samuel had told her about. ;)
Nothing like traveling around the country without leaving the comfort of your home. This series has been creative, both in the venue of a RV rather than a hometown and the mysteries set in each state the protagonist visits in her travels. There is an ever changing backdrop for the well plotted mysteries and a different cast of characters at each stop. A quick, entertaining read.
Love this series! Patti Benning knows how to write and make you feel like you are right there with the characters.
Tulia is off to another state and adventure. She runs into a vampire convention being held at her hotel and a vampire enthusiast is killed and Tulia and Samuel are set out to solve the mystery and keep one step ahead of her ex who is stalking her.
The protagonist won the lottery, bought an expensive RV, and is traveling the U.S. with her African Grey Parrot for company. Everywhere they go, murder follows. And she’s drawn to it! She just can’t help herself! LOL! Short story. I recommend starting at the beginning of this series and read them in order.
Who knew that the place she chose was a convention for vampire authors. And then to get the books more hype there was a murder. Of course there was alot going on but at least T got more time with Samuel. Now let's get rid of the ex boy friend.
Tulia and her parrot head to New Orleans for a weeks stay. She still does not know how her ex boyfriend seems to be tracking her. As soon as she checks into her hotel things start to happen. Another fun read.
I always love books set in New Orleans. I have never been so enjoying seeing the city through the authors description. I had an inkling as to who the killer was and ended up being right in the end. Looking forward to the next book very much.
I'm enjoying reading this series. This book was fun. It might be hard to pick it up in the middle of the series, but it was good enough to give it a try.
The books in this series are always a quick fun read and I read this in a few hours. The story was not as engaging as some others in the series, but I look forward to reading more
