The Berotte Family #11

Force of Nature

Rate this book
A man of few words is sometimes a man to fear. Ali Joseph proves that theory to be correct. He keeps his traumatic past under wraps and only trusts a few people, Shyrón Berotte being one of them. He’s been living amidst the turmoil for so long he’s finally reaching his breaking point. His anger is causing him to come unhinged and that’s no good for the people involved, especially since they don’t realize the danger they are in. There is only one silver lining in his cloud and that’s the day he meets Riley Domingue.

Riley has been recovering from the death of a loved one for the past two and a half years, trying to adjust to being a single mother and focusing on becoming a better woman than before. She’s done everything she knows to do to show her daughter an image of independence, strength, and love. While overcoming her struggles seem effortless from the outside looking in, her heart is longing for love and affection. Her eyes zero in on the most unlikely target for that. Ali Joseph’s swag screams bad boy, and while that’s something that could be dangerous, it’s also something that she could never resist.

Ali and Riley are engulfed in their attraction immediately, but in a short amount of time, issues come to the surface that has them both rethinking their pending relationship. Will those issues overtake them, or will they be able to rise above for the sake of what they want to build together?

Mo👏🏽ni👏🏽ca!!!!! Ma’am we need to talk!!!! I just need you to get your foot off my neck right quick in order to do so!! 🤣🤣🤣 WHEW BABY!!!! First of all let’s get into this COVER!!! Just delicious 🤤! I mean no crumbs left! Ali aka Mr Knock The P*ssy Out Like Fight Night!!!! Where do I even begin!!! Jamel and Sandrene have been knocked out of first place and I don’t think anyone else can come close to competing with my Ali… yeah you heard right MY!!! He’s MINE!!! I’m ready to throw hand with all y’all heffas Riley included.

Ali has been a highly anticipated character for me in the Berotte series and he did not disappoint. As head of Watchful Eyes, he’s made several appearances in the series when it comes to protecting those he loves and laying down the law by any means necessary. I didn’t expect anything less in Force of Nature which was a very fitting title! Ali is struggling internally when it comes to feelings on love. The word has little meaning for him because he’s been burned by women who he thought had his best interest at heart. His mother especially has his guard on high alert after continuously manipulating and taking advantage of him.

Just when he’s written off love here comes Riley and Aina to resuscitate his heart and get that bad boy beating again and man did they get the job done! Riley was an educated hood chick. With a Masters degree in hand, she could wear the professional hat and put on successful events and in the very next breathe lace up her sneakers and go toe to toe with the best of them. She matched energy and that’s exactly what Ali needed. Ali and Aina’s relationship was everything!!! Their interactions were so heartwarming and had me cheesing hella hard!

Ali and Riley…. Y’all know I usually refer to my couples as a two piece spicy… well these two were the whole mf bucket 😩😩 Did somebody call the fire department because a bish was drenched!!! They had that talk dirty to me while you choke me from behind kinda chemistry and I was all the way here for it. 🌊💦

Ali’s father had me fooled 😪🤧 his emotions had me thinking he was remorseful and I do feel like deep down he wanted to do better but Ali’s mother was a master manipulator. In the end he allowed her to lead him right over a cliff and they both got what they deserved! I could’ve read 100 more pages about Ali and Riley and I look forward to getting more from them as the series continues! Per usual the Berotte’s were a good time and this family is filled with so much love I can hardly take it. I look forward to Sunday dinners and enjoy them all so much! I also loved the twist with Seneca 👌🏽! I’m very much looking forward to Jericho’s story and can’t wait to dive in!

I don’t know how to rate this cause I don’t want it to be over! 😩

What a troubled soul Ali was. Like I don’t think we could fully grasp everything he was dealing with. I won’t give spoilers but I will say the Talisha situation and his mom weighed more on him than we could even believe. Ali’s parents were big trash! How he met Riley was very organic and not forced, but there is a hint of something that made me question did he know her before due to who his case was at the time. Zay said something along the lines to Ali that Riley is everything in a woman that you wished your mother to be. All the other women causing you issues carried traits of his mother. I thought that was eye opening. Riley’s story was interesting in that she was a single mom doing her best when Ali walked into her life! I think it was kismet for sure and luck she fell for a man similar to ex that was killed. Her family situation was sad but the twist mid book for her was something I didn’t see coming. If you can’t tell there was a lot of side stories going along side this main love story which is why the 3 week timeline for their love doesn’t seem real! Lol like this timeline felt longer than that and is why I didn’t mind their insta love. Riley was the perfect match for Ali and he was the perfect match for Riley and her daughter Aina. Once Ali could get his trauma in order I knew he would get right for Riley! Overall I enjoyed their story and will probably revisit this book because there is a lot happening now with Jericho and Jungle and tbh I’m ready for Jericho’s story! I’m going back and forth between this being 4 or 4.5⭐️! I feel 4 is solid because I really enjoyed this and would liked more but the story did feel complete at the same time so idk! But I’m ready for the next book!

LISSSTEEEEENNNNN!!! Thug Passion By Tupac IMMEDIATELY came to mind reading this book!!

The way Ali Joseph was giving that Thug Passion to Riley Domingue (pronounced Dōmain “like the website domain”), tuuuhhhhhh!!!!! I loved how Ali was so hard & not really friendly with everybody, but Riley & sweet little Aina!! Ali & Riley’s relationship was chef’s freaking KISSSSS 😘!!!

That Camila & Ali’s sperm donor, had nothing by audacity in this book! They had to be some of the trashiest parents ever written! I understand the reason why Camila was the way that she was, but even after Ali told her why he had to let her go, this hoe came back and doubled down on getting the worst parent award! I’m glad Jericho handled that!!!

To find out how Riley was actually apart of this extended family, although by another goofy parent, was beautiful! Of course, I always enjoy reading about the family aspect & the Berotte’s! The way that brotherhood was so well written in this book was 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!

Monniiicaaaaaaa never misses for me!!!! I’m excited and a little antsy to get into Jericho’s story!

Miss Monica! I know I say this after every read, but damn, how do you continue to raise that bar every single time? Whew! I knew that Ali's story was going to be heavy, but I was not prepared for all the trauma that he endured in his life! I believed that his odd behavior was due to the Talisha issue, but after learning of his childhood, all the pieces began to fall into place. Camila was trash, and one of the worst egg donors I have encountered in a minute! I get it that you were mistreated also, but didn't you want better for your son? For yourself? Ughhh.... 🤬 His damn daddy wasn't much better! Thank God he found Shy and the Berotte family! If he wasn't exposed to that brotherhood and family, there is no telling how he would have ended up! Riley! I admired how she was taking care of herself and her daughter, with little to no help from anyone! She was educated hood, and could adapt to any situation she was put into. Meeting Ali sparked something in Riley, that she hadn't felt since losing Gabe! Ali had that bad boy energy, and it was calling her name! She wanted to get to know him, but was a bit apprehensive, as she could see the torment in his eyes! I loved Riley for Ali. We had never seen him give a woman the attention before, so I knew what he felt was real!
I clutched at my chest when all the ish went down with Terry, at Camila's house. I wasn't sure if Ali was going to completely lose it, as he was at the end of his rope! Then my baby Zay came through with his wise and encouraging words, to help Ali deal with his feelings, and get his girl! Now, Jericho! He has gone dark and cold! It has me excited, as well as concerned for his well being, and anyone who may cross him! His story is going to be heavy, I can feel it! But, that will be needed to explore all that he has gone through to get us to the present. Can't wait for his story! You did it again Miss Monica, like I had any doubts! 😂 Great job! 👍👍👍

Family for Ali

I just knew Ali was going to be my favorite and I really liked him, but I didn't fully connect to the story.

Ali had been through a lot as a child and that trauma turned him into the nonchalant man he was today. Due to his strained relationship with his mother he was sensitive to women. That much was clear in the previous book, and it seemed obvious Talisha was still very much a problem that just couldn't take a hint smh.

When Ali met Riley he was drawn to her and he had to pursue her. Baby, the way he bossed up on her.....she didn't know what she had gotten herself into and I didn't know either 😩. The truth was he was just as affected, because once they were physical it was like his spirit was calling to Riley's and he felt like he was lost on how to handle that connection. Oh and those two were nasty out the gate. They didn't know each other from a can of paint, but that didn't stop them from singing freek'n you by Jodeci. Whew lawd.

They had some wholesome moments too, that not only pulled at Ali's heartstrings but mine as well. He was immediately sweet on Aina, Riley's babygirl and she was enamored by Ali as well. They had the sweetest interactions and before he knew it he had a little family of his own.

This was a solid story, but I didn't love the way it was written. Monica writes some great characters that I'm usually locked in with. However, the plots around them can be hit or miss for me. I felt the story line was decent, but it felt.... elementary. Don't shoot the messenger, it just didn't hit for me🤷🏾‍♀️ I still enjoyed Ali and look forward to Jericho's story.

Every time I think I've found my favorite Berotte Hero Ms. Monica writes another one. I have been intrigued by Ali ever since he was introduced in the series. Monica has done a good job at keeping us curious about his character. The story was very fast paced, and I thought that it was one of her shorter books however, when I checked I found it to be one of the longer ones. It was so good, apparently, I just flew right through it.

We were finally able to a glimpse inside of our man Ali, see where his demons derived from, see him open up to his friends, and to love. His greatest attribute was being a great protector for his friends and new family.

Riley a single mother is trying to recover from the untimely death of her fiancé and child's father. She's smart and classy with a side of hood, just what she needs to handle our boy, Ali. Riley's attracted to bad boys and can't resist the danger and darkness she sees in him.

Two things that peeved me throughout the book was one, Ali's cockiness and arrogance with Riley. I don't know if I would consider him to have BDE although it's clear that he had a BD and knew how to use it. He just seemed so full of himself. The second thing that peeved me was how trusting Riley was of Ali with Aina considering how fast the relationship progressed. It seems as if his access to her was immediate, it gave me goosebumps and raised the hairs on the back of my neck. Although this wasn't an issue for me Monica unalived more people in this book then she normally does but everyone got what they deserved.

It seems as if we may be getting close to the end of this series and while I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them, I will be sad to see it end.

WHEW !!!! I’ll be back later today to give my review.. might have to read it again!!!

Sooooo, after a day and the high from this great book has subsided, I can say that this is the best book of the series!!!! That's saying A LOT after Chad and Senaca's stories because I LOVED them!! So much could be said about this book. To find out all of what Ali went through, you understand him better. Thank God for the Berotte's for being there for him because the two that gave him life were TRASH... I'm talking the liquid that drips from the garbage truck kinda trash. They got exactly what they deserved.

Riley and Aina were exactly what he needed. I LOVED LOVED LOVED his relationship with Aina. In my mind, Riley is my cousin. I mean we went to the same college and all lmaoooo

This book was pretty heavy but so so good. I absolutely love this series!!

Whew Ali is definitely my new bae after this. This is hands down the best book of this series. Poor Ali had to deal with a lot, I’m glad he found Riley & Aina. The Seneca plot twist was beautiful ( I won’t spoil it). Ali egg and sperm donor got exactly what they deserved. I can’t wait to read Jerichos story.

This was the book I was waiting for!!

I’ve been waiting for Ali’s book for so long and it didn’t disappoint! He went through more than any child should have to endure. The fact that he didn’t end up drug addicted or in jail was a blessing. Riley also endured so much. The thing I love about them both is their continued belief in seeing the best in people, even when they didn’t deserve it. But don’t cross them! Both had no problem regulating! And I just loved Aina!! She melted my heart!

Man oh man!!! I thought Seneca was my favorite, but I’m going to have to go with Ali. His story had me mad, sad, and ready to whip some a$$. Chile I was crying and everything, when that little girl told him she love him :(. Two thumps up to Monica Walters, girl you did it again.

🔥🔥🔥

Now this story here is what I have been waiting for…

Ali is the man, Talisha is something special and we all knew it for when we first meet her 🤦🏾‍♀️ those screws were lost a long time ago. She should have just stayed away like you super slow woman. Ali’s mom/dad wasn’t shiddd either and that’s sad! I enjoyed seeing the softer side of Ali…Riley and Aina brought that out. I love Aina nickname for him 🥰, those men and their brotherhood is always amazing to see, the bond they have and they way they ride for each other is amazing.

This was a great story for sure. I am hoping that Jericho’s story is next because I am ready for everything to come to head with that situation!

I loved everything about Ali's story. It was great to get insight into his backstop. I think the quickness in which conflict was resolved made sense in his story.

I liked the way the author continues to advocate for the mental health of black men, and positive real-life representations of what grown-up relationships can look like.

Ali was everything that I expected him to be when love finally found him. There is power in positive familial relationships whether that family be blood or the one you make.

Now on to Jericho. His darkness may take a bit of work to remove.

Another Berotte banger!!!

I have come to love ❤️ all the Berotte’s and honorary Berotte’s but Ali had a special place in my heart. I was anxiously awaiting his story and it gave everything. We all loved the mysterious air surrounding Ali and his story did not disappoint. The heartbreak from his trash 🗑️ a*s mammy!!!! The chemistry between he and Riley was smoking 🥵 hot and sexy😘💥💦. The seggs OMG. The love and care Ali paid to Ani😍. The Berotte embrace of Riley and Ani, Seneca’s acceptance of Riley and Ani!!! I wish I had more stars to give!!

Prince Ali

I am really enjoying this series, but I think Ali is my favorite. The things he endured from his crappy parents were heartbreaking.
I loved the way he cared for Riley and her daughter. It was nice to see him go from the mysterious guy, to the being soft and open when he needed. Don't get it twisted though, he could still be a savage if need be. I can't wait to read the next book.

Just Wow

There was so much to unpack in this story. Let me just say that I adored Riley and Aina, but I absolutely loved them with Ali. They had me just full. Seneca, Jericho and Shy, just top tier. Something makes me believe Troy just went along with Camila's azz but he wasn't innocent by no means so oh well. Glad to finally see the teal Ali, I never would have guessed. Great story!

ummm…

I really wanted to love this but it was just okay for me. I didn’t personally believe the relationship between Ali and Riley. Sure, there was sexual tension but in my opinion nothing else. The chemistry, relationship wise just wasn’t there for me. I felt like the author didn’t really develop them outside of the scenes where they were having s*x and Riley’s daughter calling him daddy after two interactions ummmm…no.

2.5-3 Stars…

I think I’ve gotten to a point where I’m obsessed with this series but increasingly I find some of the more recent iterations a little too gratuitously violent against women. It’s almost like the main female protagonist is sacrosanct but other women in the book are at risk of violence from the male protagonist. I recognize that these are grittier, “urban” romances and so the moral ambiguity is on purpose, but there’s a bit of an unsettling air of misogyny in the way women other than current or past heroines are talked about and treated. Case in point, in this book, Talisha, a villain from a past book (with her own drama), is brought in more or less as cannon fodder. Her presence adds nothing to the book and really wasn’t even used as the interesting dramatic device it could have been. So in the end, it was just gratuitous. There’s a lot more killing and violence in this book than in the earlier books. Again, this makes sense because these aren’t the middle class-raised Berotte children Papa Berotte raised, these are family members of the heart with various histories of trauma and ganging.

Anyway the premise of this is that while dealing with toxic family relationships and working in staying on the right side of the law with his private security/PI business, Ali meets hospital administrator, Riley, a single mom still grieving the loss of her baby’s father to the gang lifestyle. Sparks immediately fly but Ali is not quite ready for a relationship and Riley is not one to have her time wasted. The conflict in this book was not really around Riley and Ali’s relationship- they were to busy banging to really have much extended conflict. The main conflict was internal to Ali and his toxic relationship with his mother, the generational trauma therein, and his inability to let go of a gang mentality. Despite my misgivings about the trend of misogyny around violence against women in this book, I did ultimately like Ali and Riley together, and Aina was absolutely adorable. I wish we had gotten more of Ali and Riley learning about each other or that we had gotten to know Riley a little bit better other than the fact that she’s a single mom who likes bad boys. Their actual relationship to me was beautiful but very rushed and I think they had a lot to talk about and deal with in a matter of weeks that they never got to because they were constantly getting naked whenever they got together. I feel like with Ali’s initial hesitancy and family drama, and Riley going through things with her ex’s family and finding her long lost brother, AND the fact that she was protective of Aina, the 3 week time frame was a lot. I felt gaps in their relationship for it to have progressed to the point where we leave them. One of the things I like about this series is the fact that the books are an ensemble cast and a proper family endeavor. But in this one, there was so much Ali and the boys, that sometimes it felt that Riley got a little lost in the mix. Also the fact that she had NO ONE to talk to apart from her 4-year-old? No one we could get to know her through…. I dunno. I could have done with more Riley and Ali connecting a bit more. That said, I did like this story more or less. It was high drama and compelling and clearly, I am still really into this Berotte world and I anticipate that Berotte books will continue to be an autobuy for me even though I am finding them somewhat problematic with the uptick in gratuitous gun violence in recent books.

This story was about Ali... He is best friends with Shy... They use to get into a lot when they were younger... We finally get to see all that Ali has been dealing with and why he is the way he is... Man the emotions that we saw and the journey that Ali went on in order to find happiness was deep...
Ali was a good man with so many deep rooted issues from childhood... It was like no matter what, he could not just be happy... Women took advantage of his kindness and little by little it was destroying him... Causing him to be cold... So much so that he did not allow anyone close to him and he never let it be known what he was going through... I am thankful that he had friends like Shy and Jericho... His mother made his life worse... She didn't love him or appreciate him for taking care of her... Especially after what she went through herself... Although Ali wanted to just be done and wash his hands of her and her toxic ways... He just couldn't...
Riley was a sweet woman that worked hard and was a single mother to an adorable little girl... Ever since Her boyfriend Gabe was killed she has been handling things on her own... She has no family and Gabe's family wants nothing to do with her and her daughter... She only deals with Gabe's mother as she helps pick her daughter up from school... But other than that she has absolutely no one else in her corner... As far as a relationship... She has not been in one since Gabe died... That was a few years ago...
Well Ali takes on a security job for a hospital event... Little did he know all that would come out of this job...
Riley was organizing an even for the hospital and working hard to make sure everything was perfect... Not realizing how much her world was about to be turned upside down...
Once these two crossed paths it was like they were drawn to eachother... They needed eachother... But they were not sure how to get there... These two just matched... But Ali was not sure how to open up and except what was happening... Riley did not like how Ali was making her feel and blocking her out... Neither one knew the turmoil that the other was going through mentally...
Riley was batting with letting go of her past with Gabe and how Ali was currently treating her after they had such an amazing time... Ali was dealing with all these women that caused him pain and how everyone kept coming at him all at once... It was like his warnings didn't mean anything... So he had to start making hard decisions that he was not comfortable with... All the while trying to fight and figure out all the emotions that Riley keeps bringing out of him... He is so desperate for love and does not even realize it... Or he just does not recognize it... He keeps battling with this wall that Riley keeps cracking... He is not use to letting anyone see through this brick wall that he has built...
Little by little he is learning about himself and seeing what love is really about... He has the love of his brothers and the Berotte family... But not the love of a woman... He is trying but it is hard... But Riley and her daughter just keep pulling him in... Then once he sees this love, he tries to hold onto it tightly... But he has to deal with some other things first... But Riley is patient and is in his corner helping him... Just when it looked like he was finally getting it right... Here comes his mother bringing out someone that he never wanted to be...
Wow what kind of mother would do or even say something like this to their child... Now we see what had to happen...
As for Riley... She is finding out more things about her family and remembering things from childhood that is causing her to think of her father in a different light and also giving her a little hope... But will it work out...
Is Riley what Ali needed to get his life together... Will he find happiness finally... Or will his past just be to much for him to handle and hold him back from being the best that he can be for Riley and her daughter... Well I guess you have to read to find out...
Well onto the next book where we will see what is up with Jericho and why he is the way he is...

Ali x Riley 💕👅

I didn't know how badlyyy I wanted this story 🙃🫠 I knew that Ali was going to have me hooked just because I loved him & Shy's relationship from the jump. But as he grew closer to the whole family, I just knew that I would be severely invested.

Ali has always been a deadly nigga. From an early age, he learned that all he had was himself & the family he forged with his friends. He didn't become this way by accident. It was just his luck that he had an ain't shit mama & a trying daddy. He's been watching all his friends find love & change for the better. He still awestruck that Seneca fucked around & became a better man. He don't know about that love shit, but he know if she wanted to claim him; she was going to catch him tf off guard. & Ali hates nothing more than being caught off guard, unless it looks like Riley.

Riley has been doing it by herself for the last two yrs. The love of her life died involved in some street shit & Riley was just satisfied living for her & her daughter, Aina. She been trying to be the best version of herself physically, emotionally & mentally. She has no one besides her babygirl & occasionally her fiancé mom. She's not even looking or thinking about a man until she calls to verify Watchful Eyes for a hospital event & get a callback from someone sounding fine af. Immediately, she's intrigued & even more invested when she finally lays eyes on him.

I love the way Ali was protective of Riley from the start, I know that his nature, but it was something different. I also loved how straightforward they were with each other, nothing more attractive than going after what you want. I also loved how Riley was able to be classy, but PLEASE don't let that fool you, sis is with it. I livedddd for when Riley checked Ali because who tf did he think he was coming at her like !? But I also fell in love with how quickly Ali fell for Aina 💕she brought out his soft side & I was loving that on him. I loved it even more when he reassured Riley that no matter what happens between him & her, Aina was his forever. I loved that Riley was able to see Ali in his most vulnerable moment & still be his calm in the midst of the storm. I fucking hate that Ali mama kept trying him & things had to end that way but 🤷🏿‍♀️ she deserved that shit & his dumb ass daddy too. Their story could have moved a little slower & been a little longer, but I'm just happy I got to enjoy it.

I'm loving the glimpses into Jericho's story. After the situation with Lexi, I was upset that nigga was still around but he's grown on me too & I'm ready.

It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye 👋🏾 Berotte’s🥰

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: “Force of Nature” was an intense story. This book felt like redemption & rebirth was necessary. …Dang, the journey is over, but another BDVRJ tribal banger (Berotte’s Dent’s Vaughn’s Roberts’ & now Joseph) …oops 🤔there are at least six bodied bangers too 😬🤷🏾‍♀️ (I lost count). Well, this is my last review for the Berotte Family series. Ms. Walters’ I applaud your creative tenacity. I want the Berotte’s to grace my TV weekly. …📢calling all producers, filmmakers, directors, creative writers, investors, accountants 🙋🏾‍♀️, show-runners, artists, actors & actresses etc. This Berotte series was ozone, galaxy, stratosphere🔥🔥🔥‼️ Ali & Riley have great chemistry, plus Riley’s DST🔺🐘 😛🤦🏾‍♀️…More so, they heal each others broken heart, soul & fill the void of loneliness. …that was difficult to read yet beautiful to witness. Goodness, I absolutely adore these Berotte’s and their extended families. Honestly, it’s difficult to believe the Berotte’s are a fictional Family. These men (& their partners), bonus sons, extended brothers, family and friends are the epitome of black excellence in an urban community. ... Thereafter, I adore the (consistent) compassion, love, commitment & respect this family has for each other while always graphing another into their circle. ..I’m really sad now, because this is the last book. Ms. Walters thank you again for sharing your creative genius🤯 meticulous plot & character development to deliver such a vibrant family. until the series is completed,..but what a joy it has been to witness the Berotte’s 👏🏽🤎👏🏾🤎👏🏿‼️

🗣️Alright, Alright!!! Public Service Announcement… It’s with great sympathy that I say Shyrón Berotte has now been moved to second place! Yessss, that’s right, he has been moved from the head of the table, and Ali Joseph has taken the top spot!
Now that I have gotten that out the way, let’s get into bae because this man hereeee oooo weee I wasn’t even 15% into this book, and he had me. Y’all know I love a troubled man, and I’m using that loosely with Ali because he was so complicated yet enduring and lovable at the same time.
The way Ali and Riley met was so organic and sweet, but later on that night, that sweetness was thrown out the window😝. I adored Riley. She will make a great sister wife because she is big on acceptance and understands more due to her past. Although my girl said she doesn’t have a “type,” welp sis, you do 😂
Monica Walters never disappoints, and I wasn’t sure this series could get better, but this story was epic. I loved the plot twists and the oop moments in this book as well as the progression with Ali, Riley and Aina. This series is big on acceptance and forgiveness, and I love that. I can’t wait to see what Jericho has to give because his story has been brewing!

You reap what you sow...

Riley and Ali... Their relationship is practically love at first sight. They didn't waste no time falling in love with each other. And I love the way Ali quickly fell in love with Riley's daughter Aina. She's so adorable. And coming from the background Ali had you wouldn't think that he could be soft with anyone. Riley and Aina bought out the best in him. But his mother, oh my goodness. Her parents traumatised her as a child and then sold her to Ali father, who wasn't much better even though he said he loved her. Forget needing money that bad I'll never understand how people do this stuff to their children. Then she grows up with no respect for herself at all. Which caused her to mistreat her own child. And when Ali walked in on her having sex we two men he lost it. But because of what he's gone through with his mother he has a soft spot for women. Everyone thought for sure he had killed Talisha. Her crazy self got off good but she just couldn't leave well enough alone. Maybe she wanted to be put out of her misery if she was as ugly as everyone said. Although Ali had planned to get rid of her forever, he didn't like killing women and was relieved when Jericho took that option from him. Another great story in this series.

Ali…Definitely a “Force of Nature!!”. 🔥🔥🔥

And…this series just keeps getting better and better!! Ali, quiet, smooth and lethal, is that force of nature you don’t want to cross nor cross his “family!” Attraction at first sight is exactly what Riley and Ali experienced! Then you throw in that precious Aina who found her “Prince Ali!”

Ali, although ruthless when crossed, held his feeling’s close to his chest, he was finally able to let Riley inch in and help him find real love and trust again! I’m here to tell you that Ali had a journey and a half to go through, but he was never alone. All I can say is that if you haven’t had a chance to experience this series, you are missing out!! I’ve had the chance to binge on all of them one after the other without waiting, and it’s been a wonderful, dangerous, exciting, and loving journey!! Do like me, grab them all, grab a beverage of your choice, sit back, kick up your legs, and enjoy!! This is one time you will be happy you did!! Me…I’m headed on over to start the journey with Jericho!! My, My, My!! Monica, Kudos and Kudos!! 💜👏🏽👏🏽💜

Even though Ali exhibits a tough exterior he had a really soft spot for women stemming from his situation with his mom. IMHO his mom had too much control over him, and his parents were just too much, and a nuisance.

Now let’s give an honorable mention of Talisha because, If desperate was a name it would be her! She pushed it and because Ali has a soft spot for women, GF misread the situation. Talisha about to awake a sleeping lion LOL 😂.

Ali has a lot to unpack and come to terms with his past. His soul was so tormented that he will need a special someone to unlock those demons. He was so prideful and due to past experiences, and trauma he didn’t let people in except his two best friends. I love the brotherhood where he started including others in his intimate circle, and Zay continues to be the real MVP!

Riley daughter Aina was so adorable and got grown up ways for her age! The things that came out her mouth LOL 😂.

Prince Ali and Riley will heal each other as their love continue to grow. I truly loved Riley for Ali! They made a great couple!

The author know how to keep the drama coming and I was here for it.

DAAANNG Prince Ali ! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️

Well Monica Walters ,gurl you got me with this one ❤️❤️❤️
Ali’s story was everything. I knew his story was going to be deep, however it was a whole lot deeper than I expected. Based on all he had gone through in his life since childhood, He was definitely a force of nature. I was so tickled when he and Riley interacted the the fund raising event. It was like he just made himself her personal body guard I was loving e dry minute of it 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Riley was just what he needed to heal his hurt ,and bring out His soft side. He definitely became Prince Ali.

The situation with Jericho going off to Miami with our back up has me a bit concern. But I’m sure I’ll it will be an interesting ride when his story is released.

I cut this review short because I don’t want to want to spoil it for anyone so I’m going to say …this is so doggone good!!! You won’t be disappointed just make sure you have read the other books in the series so that you will have a point of reference for some of the events and people in the story.
I love the Berotte Family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow I know why now!

Ali had a childhood that would break most people. Riley had a thing for bad boys but a heart for what is good! The union of her and Ali is the perfect blend of street and class. Ali's business was so perilous at times that I had to hunt for the legality of it! One theme all of these stories mirror is the love that flows from the Berotte family and all of the other people who began as friends and became family. I was surprised to find out why Riley kept saying Seneca looked familiar! I would love to see how their future relationship plays out especially since he has accepted her as his sister. I love this family and all of its moving parts and how they show up for each other! There are some things to wrap one's head around as regards their occupation and sidebars! But to know the real characters aside from what they have to do to protect family and each other makes them so genuine and lovable. I enjoyed Ali and Riley's story very much. Great job Monica, a really really great job!!!!!
