A new approach to tackling A level Chemistry

Rate this book
There are many textbooks for A level Chemistry out there but this book is different from all of them. Chemistry is not just my bread and butter but also my passion. I have a unique perspective on the learning process and I understand that most students find Chemistry very challenging. My book makes it easier for every student who not only wants to get a good grade but also wants to understand Chemistry. What makes this book different? Informal tone I have maintained an informal tone in this book to directly address my audience which is comprised of the teenagers of this complex and highly "Digital" world. The student of today demands engaging content to rivet their attention to the boring and extensive content of A level Chemistry. I aim to connect with my reader just like a novel revolving around the life of a teenager who is the center stage of all drama. If my students can feel a connection with me through my book, they are more likely to pay attention to the scientific content in the book. In depth explanation of crucial topics Some topics in chemistry require a little more depth than what Cambridge deems appropriate. Like in organic chemistry I have introduced the concept of resonance and explained in depth its role in determining the ortho/para or meta directing nature of groups attached to benzene. Some crucial concepts are missing from Cambridge's syllabus which are vital to building basic foundation in Chemistry but I have included them in my book to give my students a definite advantage. Operating from a much higher plane of understanding I can gauge from macro perspective what concepts must be included in this book which are otherwise ignored. I don't want my students to just score well, I want to them to stand out with their comprehensive understanding of all basics. Knowledge and enlightenment inevitably leads to success. Fool proof strategies and organized thinking I firmly believe that everybody has their own way of looking at things. Everyone processes information differently and stores them in a format easily accessible to them. However it always helps to think about things systematically. We read about history in a chronological order right? Similarly I firmly believe that thinking about key concepts in chemistry should be very orderly and organized. I have given mind maps, fool proof strategies and let my students glimpse at my thought process while I proceed to tackle concepts in chemistry. I don't think everyone should follow my line of thinking but I can only hope they follow suit and develop their own organized way of thinking with the help of my book. Knowledge is only part of the precarious balance between greatness and mediocrity. Organized and calculated thinking puts things into perspective and completes the picture. Constant emphasis on basics Throughout the book I have placed special emphasis on the basic ideas in Chemistry. Even when attempting to solve a problem I have constantly highlighted what basic ideas once must know before even attempting a solution. You will find me constantly reiterating myself to the point of nagging. I understand that a curriculum so extensive requires constant synchronization with the basics.
