A wonderful devotional. I worked through it with my 5 year old and we had a lot of good talks.

If you have not done family worship and need a place to start, this MIGHT work for you. However, if you have taught your children basic theology already, then this book is not for you. My biggest criticisms are the use of the International Children's Bible for scripture references and printing these verses on the side of the pages, in colored print, over honeycomb patterns. This was very hard on the eyes and difficult to read.

Using this one right now for family devotions. The boys seem to enjoy it and like to be able to pick a topic from the various subject colors. Came across this book while at Moody and used it to work with the young student I mentored. It comes with a quick hit on the concept, a prayer starter and relevant Bible verses.

A gift from my aunt when I received First Communion in the second grade. It stayed in a box until I moved houses and unpacked that particular box. Not a bad religious read for kids, and I definitely appreciated the little message my aunt wrote inside.

We like to do an evening Bible study together as family. Something short but to the point and it is VERY hard to find a good devotional for the teenage years that is not patronizing or goofy. This book was written for a younger age but simple truths still ring through.
