So what exactly were the members of the JSA doing when not at the meetings? This book answers that question! Well, not all of them, but these are the guys who didn't get their own, individual archive editions!

We have here five tales each of Wildcat, the Atom, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman, Mister Terrific, Johnny Thunder and the original Red Tornado! Yes, Wildcat is not listed alphabetically. That's because he is my favorite. Some of them are real groaners when it comes to a plot, but they all have their charm for fans of the Golden Age.

The Johnny Thunder and Red Tornado were a bit more whimsical, and flat-out funny compared to the others, so if you have kids that love silly stories, this might be the best ones to use as an introduction to this book. Most of the rest are adventure and mystery tales with the Wildcat stories being a bit better than the others. The exception being the Dr. Mid-Nite tales that have more of a pulp feel to them than the rest.

Highly recommended for fans of the JSA or Golden Age comics in general.
