I found this book to be easy for a level 2 book.... it wasn’t challenging. This book is about a boy who adopts a dog and you see it from a dogs perspective.

I absolutely love this book.
There have been numerous books written about little boys getting a dog, and this book is the exact opposite. I love how it is told from the dog's perspective of him getting his new boy. It was heartwarming for me to read, and I am sure children would love it as well, especially those who have a pet dog. I enjoyed reading the concept of the dog explaining, from his point of view, what the boy does that he loves.
I recommend this book to anyone! It was an adorable book, especially for animal lovers.

Young readers will love this cute story! I really liked the cute twist that the dog is excited for the boy rather than the boy excited for this new dog! Sweet pictures and an even sweeter story.

This book teaches a child that a pet will love him/her just as much as he/she is loved. A pet can teach new tricks to a child and watch over him/her too.

Such a sweet, sweet book written from a dogs point of view. This would be perfect to get for a child just getting his-her first dog. Starts out with the dog at the pet store tring to find his right child... ones pull his tail, or is hyper etc but the one that comes and pats him on his head and is nice to him he decides to 'keep'. The dog continues to 'teach' the boy different things like eat, play, clean up etc. All the special things that dogs help children do. Then dog looses his boy, he is scared and panic trying to find him. They are reunited at the end and he says to never loose each other again...

Extension:
Talk about how the children will take care of an animal. Like feeding waking etc. Show them how important is to
take care of an animal. Responsibility.

My son's reading book for tonight. It is a decent story, my son liked it. My son said the dog wasn't smart, that got a chuckle out of me.
