PORTFOLIO gives the upper intermediate learner of Business English many opportunities to use the language of business communication in authentic business and management situations.
PORTFOLIO contains 15 units which are suitable for either a case study, simulation or role play approach. These units cover a variety of business situations, from cross-cultural personnel problems to questions of international business development. Each situation is presented through the documents, figures and diagrams typical of modem, international business. 6 shorter Pause for Thought sections present business discussion points and activities with a touch of humour. There is also an introductory unit which provides language relevant to the communication skills required in each unit.
The units have been designed to be flexible in their application to the classroom situation and both motivating and challenging to the learner of Business English.
They have been validated for authenticity by Sundridge Park Management Centre, a major management development organization in the UK.
