Temptation

Rate this book
Pan, the Greek God of Hunting and Music, has never had any qualms about poaching believers off the other gods of the Parthenon—especially those that are sweet, innocent and beautiful.

From the tip of the horns on his head, all the way down to his toes, Pan is pure sex and pleasure. There are few men or women that he can’t tempt. Even the initiates promised to the Goddess Artemis aren’t immune.

When Kallias Myron stumbles on the naked and slumbering god on the way to the goddess’ temple, he can’t resist creeping closer—or reaching out to touch…

This short story was first published in Kim Dare’s newsletter in October 2010. The inspiration pic was chosen by Jason Huffman.

Kim is a thirty-three year old bisexual submissive from Wales (UK). First published in 2008, she has since released almost 100 BDSM erotic romance titles ranging from short stories to full length novels. Having worked with a host of fantastic e-publishers, she has just moved into self publishing.

While she has occasionally ventured towards other pairings, Kim's first love is still, and probably always will be, Male/Male stories. But, no matter what the pairing, from paranormal to contemporary, and from the sweet to the intense, everything she writes will always feature three things - Kink, Love and a Happy Ending.

This is a great short read. Fun, sexy and very hot, the description of the 'innocent boy' who is ravished by a god is lively and made me feel as if I was there. I had to smile at the claim of 'innocence': even thought Kallias is, physically, a virgin, he is the one who initiated the encounter and at the end... well, read it for yourself. It made me laugh out loud.

If you like (very) short, hot reads, don't miss this one!

Daaayum! The cover for this story is enough to cream-the-jeans for a good long time. The story was delicious too. Just enough to whet the appetite.

This story was based on a photo and a reader request for a story submitted from the M/M Romance group. Here is the photo that inspired this story (warning contains graphic male nudity):

I found this picture to be very beautiful. I didn't view the picture before reading the story, but Ms. Dare's description of the god Pan made me envision almost the same scene. So great job by Ms. Dare to bring the photo to life. The story itself was interesting but as with most short stories, it is difficult to truly develop the story beyond a scene or two.

I picked this book because it fitted a challenge I was doing. The thing I love about completing challenges is it introduces me to new authors. Kim was a new to me author and a wonderful one to have found.

Most short stories don't have enough character or plot development, somehow she managed to fit enough of both into this gem.

Everyone is raving about the cover, somehow I don't think the story I read is sporting the original cover. Oh well off to check out more books by this talented story teller.
