Amy Gatliff has perhaps written one of the most honest and human books I have ever read. Her writing is unpretentious with raw insights into the challenges that repeatedly confronted not only the author, but her family. She is open regarding her struggles and how she found the strength to cope through her strong faith in God.

Faithful Through Trials

I loved The Power to Never Give Up by Amy Gatliff. The author delved deep into her poignant memories of humble beginnings, shared her innermost thoughts and feelings, and detailed numerous trials that her Lord and Master brought her through. She stressed God's great love and direction as He led her through every trial to strengthen her and show her the purpose for her life. She candidly confessed her shortcomings and faults, and I took comfort in knowing that I am not alone...that we all have doubts, fears, and lack for faith at times. It's our human nature, but Amy stressed the importance of studying God's Word and emphasized the power of prayer. She never gave up believing in God's promises, and He was faithful and just. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who thinks there is no hope...no light at the end of some long dark tunnel they may be going through, whether it be financial or physical. Let Amy detail her journey for you, and I promise you will come out with a lighter spirit and abundant hope for better days.

Throughout our lives we all experience many ups and downs. In The Power to Never Give Up author Amy Gatliff offers readers a candid and humble look at her own personal struggles to overcome life's obstacles through faith and prayer. The Power to Never Give Up is an open, honest, personal journal, which brings to my mind the scripture "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"(Heb.11:1). Many who are searching for answers in a world that often seems out of balance will find strength, comfort, and support in the words of Amy Gatliff's heartfelt testimony. The Power to Never Give Up also reflects one of my favorite quotes by Emily Dickenson: "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all."

In The Power to Never Give UP, Amy Gatliff tells a very personal story... her own story. Amy shares with us an intimate look at some of life's struggles that she has encountered. Through these hard times, Amy learned to focus on her faith. This has not only helped Amy and her family, but it has helped them to help others as well. While Amy tells of the many challenges she and her family faced, she also shares the joys they have experienced. Whether your struggles are personal, financial, spiritual, or something else all together, Amy Gatliff helps us to realize that if we have faith, we have The Power to Never Give UP.

The author shares with us in great honesty the trials and tribulations she has gone through in her life. To let us know that there are no coincidences in life. That faith and prayer gave her the strength to endure and over come hardships. The author thoughtfully cites scriptures from the Bible to show exactly how God has helped her and her family through the good and the bad. To let us know, we are not alone and with strong faith and conviction we can ride out the storms that are thrown our way.

Amy Gatliff shares her personal struggles in the book, “The Power to Never Give Up.” She gives us encouragement in dealing with hard times, especially finances. We all face tough times and Amy shares with us the importance of leaning on God through each and every one. She reminds us to draw our strength from God instead of relying on ourselves for answers. If you have ever had a life battle to deal with, then this book is for you. It will serve as a reminder to never give up!

Who hasn't faced some kind of struggle in their life. Did you run, or did you hold onto God's unwavering hand? Author Amy Gatliff tells of her struggles, failures and victories in The Power to Never Give Up. We all make mistakes, even Amy, but in the end she's resting on God's direction, which is what we all should be doing. There's alot to learn from Amy and her life's journey. Don't let your past mistakes hold you down, God still has plans for Amy, just as He does for you.

I won this book through the goodreads giveaway and I am very glad that I did. Amy gives a lot of insight into what her life was like and what God did for her and her family and what He is still doing for her today. She has been blessed many times over the years and has gone through a lot of trials and the Lord has always seen her through them. It gives the reader a lot to think about and how to allow the Lord to use our lives as well. Thanks Goodreads for this book, it was wonderful!

My friend Peggy won this as a Goodreads Giveaway. She finished it and passed it along to me to read and review. This is a hard story to read as it is Amy being completely honest about struggles that she has gone through on this journey called life. I appreciate the way she added Scripture to point people to Jesus. I hope that she and her family continue to do well in His love.

This is a wonderful devotional work that inspires the reader to trust God in the midst of the adversities of life. We all face those times we want to give up, and Amy Gatliff shares her personal experiences of challenges and the fortitude to press forward 'toward the high calling'. I highly recommend it!

This was a very sad but moving story, of Amy and her families challenges. I'm going to share this book with Shana Myers as she has it on her to read list. Much luck with your book Amy.

Amy has given us a beautiful down to earth story of faith in times of trials that will bless your heart and soul. Such a precious reminder of trusting our Savior through all of our ups and downs. I really loved this book and recommend it to all.
