As Bishop of Hippo Regius, Augustine was responsible for two daily services of worship (two sermons! There are 900 recorded. When you read them it is as if he was sitting down talking in person with each member of his congregation!) …and all that in addition to daily ministerial demands!

If you want a quick overview of the life of one the Early Church Fathers, this book is easy to read, short and quick to finish. I think it took me a little more than five hours to finish it.
