Excellent dictionary that covers most of the basic definitions. This book is divided in 15 categories depending on what you want to know about. (people, appearance, health, home, services, shopping, food, eating out, study, work, transportation, sports, leisure, environment and reference)
It is consisted by pictures and their descriptions in English, hiragana and kanji so that you can familiarize yourself.
Overall it is a very good dictionary for the beginner and the intermediate student of the Japanese language.
