This excellent anthology has an oriental flavor that sets aside this book from an already tired genre. Every single story is a breath of fresh air. Maybe The New Steampunk is waiting to be born. :)

Excellent!! (Remember Jules Verne? Imagine him living in a future or alternative Romania and you've got the Second Revolution!).
I liked best Michael Haulica and Oliviu Craznic's stories, as both of them are dealing with action, suspense and a different, coherent, well-made world... I felt transported.
Costi Gurgu, Florin Pitea, Stefana Czeller were pretty amazing too.
The rest of the stories were above average, but not as good as those above mentioned.

I did not liked all the stories - but I liked ALMOST all, which is very good for an anthology. My favs were Gurgu and Craznic, with the medieval story of Black Citadel and the sandglasses/serial killer tale. Close were also Haulica and Czeller, while Mr Pitea and Mr Truta did a very good job in entertaining me with their touch of humour. Recommanded. A worthy romanian effort to come along the international trend.

Interesting book. I wrote on each story a comment as I finished read it so I will not repeat myself. All the strories were great, with their pluses and minuses, so I can not say that i liked that or that. In each of them I used a different criteria to like it. As complexity I liked M. Haulica and A. Biro, as "quantity" of imagination I liked O. Craznic or as resemblance with reality I liked F. Pitea and G. Lazar. I recommand the book to everyone.

Slabe șanse să mai găsiți cartea asta pe altundeva în afara unor anticariate sau ceva. Dar, dacă o găsiți, să o luați! Căci, pe zona de SF și fantasy, cred că este cea mai bună antologie de povestiri românești pe care am citit-o.

Se numește Steampunk – A doua revoluție și toate textele din ea sunt foarte bune. Unul nu pot să zic că mi-a dat cumva cu virgulă. De aia o și recomand. Dacă o mai găsiți, firește.

An unexpected and picturesque collection of short stories of varied quality and settings that I ended up enjoying. My favourites were:

O stea în plus pentru povestirea cu glumele lui Moisil și comuniști, pentru Cărtărescu (o să vedeți) și pentru aerul general de inedit.
Două stele în minus pentru scriitura slabă pe alocuri, pentru nevoia de a include câte o chestie doar ca să dea la inventar ("ah, n-am spus nimic de țuică, hai să aruncăm o mențiune în treacăt") și pentru acele câteva zeci de pagini când o armată întreagă bălește după Magdalena Ghika.
