This book has helped me a great deal when understanding high blood pressure and the causes and what you can do to help lower your blood pressure. African Americans like myself tend to suffer from high blood pressure more than our white counterparts. One thing that I learned while reading this book is that being under a lot of stress can also cause high blood pressure and what you can do to help eliminate the stress in your life along with a change in diet, exercise and yearly visits to the doctors(more if needed). Reed and Hudson also which I think is very important is that your spiritual life has a lot to do with how you feel and how you are healed. The bible is full of scriptures about stress and relief. The bible also mentions that our Body is God's Temple and when we take care of our temple we are obeying God.

Excellent book to help you understand how to deal with high blood pressure. I could see myself in some of the examples. It is a must read for African Americans with high blood pressure.
