Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this read. I thought this was simply a fun-sized edition of one of the original Zorro stories, packaged with some cute illustrations - but that could not be further from the truth. Rather, it is based of "The Mask Of Zorro" film - and is a straightforward info-dump of what happens on screen. "... Zoro fought off a dozen men... Then the masked man jumped off a roof. The hero dropped onto a canopy below, then sprang up onto the governors balcony..." etc It is not entirely without color, but it reads more like spark-notes than a story. I did not finish - as I figured I should start with one of the McCulley books instead.
There is likely an age group that will enjoy this, perhaps it was intended as an early-reader educational aid.
The illustrator did a wonderful job, so I suppose pick it up if you like charming monochrome inks of roguish aristocracy in 1800s Mexican attire.
