I've been very interested in Ida Tarbell, Titusville, and Pithole. I had heard of her in relation to the oil industry -- and it was very interesting to read about her long career exposing other wrongs around the turn of the century. However, I was disappointed to read that she seemed to reject critical women's issues.

I found a couple of library books about her, but the adult one was way too long for the time I had to read and covered more details than I was interested in.

This youth book, at 108 pages, was all I need to know right now. I also appreciated the historical photos.
