Helen Cameron is a Research Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Ecclesiology and Practical Theology (Ripon College Cuddesdon) of which she was the founding Director. She is Head of Public Affairs for The Salvation Army which involves lobbying for policy changes on behalf of those the organisation serves.

As a practical theologian she is interested in the connections between the pastoral, practical and political.
