Una historia que me hizo pensar en mil teorías para tratar de descubrir y adivinar por mi cuenta quien era el que había planeado todo.
Este libro en particular me costó trabajo encontrarlo, porque pasando el tomo 15 se vuelve una odisea dar con los demás títulos.
El club del misterio tiene esas dosis de suspenso que te atrapa y te mantiene emocionado, sobre todo porque nuestras queridas protagonistas van madurando un poco luego de todas las travesías que han vivido, y también a que ya tiene más tiempo interactuando. Sin contar que esta historia tiene un poco más de suspenso, así es, y por eso es que se disfruta bastante.

Every book in this 1990s British paperback mystery series is very good; a few of them are excellent. This is one of them.
It pays to have rich parents. Belinda Hayes does, except that she is happiest in old jeans and a tattered sweatshirt. Her parents are going away to Europe and she got an invitation from friends of her parents to stay with them at a country castle for a week. Well, maybe it's a manor, but it sounds like a castle to me. It was built during the reign of King Henry XIII and at 500 years old, it's still impressive. The other two members of the Mystery Club, Holly and Tracy, accompany her.
Wylde House, on Wrath Bay, has a history. Supposedly the original owners, Sir Brandon and Lady Eleanore, hid their riches away before Oliver Cromwell and his men got there. No one ever found it. What the family does have is the Lady of Wrath, the priceless sword that belonged to Sir Brandon. It's usually in the local museum, but once a year it's removed, placed in the stone hands of Sir Brandon in his tomb effigy in the chapel, and used to reenact a scene with the village children once a year. Yes, our mystery girls are there for this festival.
They are suspicious of Lucy, the 18 year-old spoiled daughter of the house. She creeps around at night and they suspect lets her boyfriend in; a boy her parents do not approve of. Then the priceless sword disappears and the Mystery Club goes into action. From the title you can probably guess what happens.

Erittäin hyvä kirja, mutta menettää vähän pisteitä, koska itse ainakin arvasin, minne lady Eleanorin aarre oli piilotettu :)

Ulkona hiippailee tummiin vaatteisiin pukeutunut hahmo ja juuri ennen jokavuotisia lasten naamiaisia, lukitusta kappelista katoaa juhlien kannalta tärkeä esine, jalokivin kirjailtu miekka. Tytöt lähtevät selvittämään tapahtumia. Tyttöjen selvittäessä tapahtumia alkaa talosta löytyä salaisia huoneita ja uusia mysteerejä. Löytävätkö tytöt miekan ja saavatko he selvitettyä mysteerin vai jääkö se ikuiseksi salaisuudeksi.
Olen aijemmin lukenut enemmän kauhukirjoja, joten en ollut aluksi varma tästä kirjasta. Tässä kirjassa ei ollut sellaista jännitystä, mutta se oli niin koukuttava että oli pakko aina jatkaa lukemista. Ensimmäisten sivujen jälkeen ajattelin etten jaksaisi lukea kirjaa loppuun asti mutta kun juoni alkoi edetä, aloin kiinnostua kirjasta. En pitänyt kirjassa siitä että päähenkilöitä ei kuvailtu tarkoin ja niitä oli kolme(holly,belinda,tracy) .Silloin en saanut hyvää mielikuvaa kustakin henkilöstä. Jos vaikkapa yksi päähenkilöistä olisi ollut poika, henkilöt olisivat olleet mieleenpainuvampia.
Vertaan kirjaa vaikkapa Goosebumps-elävien nukkejen yö:hön. Kirjat ovat hiukan samantapaisia sillä elävien nukkejen yö on kauhukirja ja salainen huone on jännityskirja. Elävien nukkejen yössä on enemmän mielestäni jännitystä mutta molemmat kirjat olivat koukuttavia. Pidän henkilökohtaisesti enemmän kauhukirjoista joten elävien nukkejen yö oli mielestäni vähän parempi. Mutta melkein voisin sanoa että kirjat ovat samantasoisia.
