A former Secret Service agent provides a behind-the-scenes account of what it was like protecting Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, offering scores of anecdotes, and reveals how and why he left the Secret Service
This was not what I thought it would be, as I thought it would be secrets about secret service "missions" and instead was a lot about their jobs, and especially the people that he protected. It was interesting when he described how they got ready for a motorcade, and frustrating to hear that some presidents just didn't listen to secret service (like Kennedy :-(
This is a book about the an ex-secret service agent. I was interested in it because I used to live where Air Force One landed several times a year at our airport and we saw it in person. So the life of a secret service agent sounded like a nice read. He watched over several presidents and was present when many digitaries were in his sight. He got burned though and became of all things a dj. His book is informative and funny.
I read this book a long time ago and it was pretty fascinating. This is a true story about a secret service guy who moonlit as a DJ in New York City at Raves. He would die his hair green, then wear a wig during the day as he protected ex-Pres Nixon.
