A Rumor of Angels: Quotations for Living, Dying & Letting Go

Rate this book
This beautifully designed collection of quotes from literary masters and everyday people will comfort anyone who has known loss or is in the midst of sorrow. Divided into three sections—living, dying, and letting go—the moving selections from Anne Lamott, C. S. Lewis, Henri Nouwen, Alice Walker, and hundreds of others demystify death and celebrate life. Quotations flow from one to another, helping readers move through their pain toward a place of peace, creating a perfect, caring gift for when a card is not enough.

I’m in the business of creative communications. My main work is graphic design, but I write between every project. For me, creativity is derived from having a problem to solve or something worthy to share. My books are the result of becoming aware of a need and earnestly wanting to contribute to the conversation. My latest book, Creative Cues From the Cat, is lighthearted enough, but I deeply believe in its points and sincerely hope it encourages the creative spirit in everyone who reads it.

I’m presently working on a Page-A-Day calendar for Workman Publishers called “Working From Home: A Year of Essential (and Genius) Tips for Making the Most of it.” If there's anything I know, it's how to stay motivated while working from home!

Even if you lose dozens of friends to a pandemic, such as A.I.D.S. you can, with some effort, bid each of them goodbye, and go on with your life, being aware of the spirits of those friends who are gone, make new friends for the rest of your life.
