Uses different animals to introduce the concept of size, comparing, for example, the length of a ring-tailed lemur’s tail with that of a Boston terrier.

Fun idea.

Points out long and short features on a variety of animals with mostly good comparisons for kids to understand (Orangutan fingers as long as hot dogs).

This book is begins with a clear message that the author wants to get across: Differences are what make us special. As the book progresses, the reader can easily identify with the concept that differences exist. Comparisons are used on each page so that if a reader is unfamiliar with a particular example they have additional information to reference in order to develop with the story. A nice introduction for young readers to talk about differences either with animals as presented in the book or even transition into humans. I do felt though the author lacked voice. Even in nonfiction writing, it is possible to exude a voice so unique and true to the author that I felt in this book drab descriptions were presented without connection.
