Finished this book on the Indian James Bond — the man they call the second most powerful person in India after the PM. The book felt more like a CV of his life rather than a biography, and I don’t know if that’s what the author intended or if I just read it that way. It’s a small read, which makes sense given the secrecy and confidentiality around him. Still, it’s one of the few books available about him, and the mystery and the operations he carried out make him all the more interesting, powerful, and significant in today’s India. It would be nice to have more such works on him, but I doubt that will happen. He’s a man of discipline and determination, and even from this short read, there’s so much one can take away.
