What happens when you mix a psychotic South African gun dealer, some sadomasochistic arms-dealing Russians, a bar bouncer who made his bones in Afghanistan, a Buddhist stripper, a man-killing woman detective, assorted highly skilled dark side shooters, and the sunniest down-home female assassin on the market?

Things get WYLDE.

Lyrical sex. Poetic violence. And poetry.

For adults only. Rated R for graphic sex, violence, language and mordant humor.

A large cast of oddball characters

Plenty of underworld action. I enjoyed most of the book, but it just stopped. Not really a ending. Kind of missing a chapter of two. I may or may not bother getting the follow-up book. And why call it Johnny Wylde? I think Jimmy was his middle name, or Johnny was. But the main character was called Jimmy for 99.9% of the book. And the ending.. Be prepared to buy 2 books just to complete the story.

Thanks for reading and commenting on JOHNNY WYLDE! This book was a departure from my previous books which fell solidly into the "special ops thriller" genre; I wanted to explore a grittier version of a crime novel in the vein of Andrew Vachss. Apparently my readership has embraced this new direction (though I haven't given up on the other) and I'll be releasing Part 2 of JOHNNY WYLDE in a month or so. Thanks for reading!

I did not think that I would either like or finish this novel, but, I did both. I really liked this novel. I intend to read the follow up novel and read the other novels by this author. I almost could not put this book down. I did read until late in the night to finish it.

A fun and engaging thriller that runs a little against the grain - in a good way.
