Court & Dagger and other tales from Exmoor

by Mr Chris Gladstone

Court & Dagger and other tales from Exmoor is a series of humorous stories in verse from local author Chris Gladstone.
In the main story, Court & Dagger, Laura Hay finds herself caught in the middle of a bitter and ancient feud between two Exmoor farming families. As the rivalry starts to get out of hand, little does she know that old friends and guardians of a dangerous secret are on hand to help her understand her past and discover her destiny.
Inspired by the Exmoor classic novel Lorna Doone by R. D. Blackmore, Court & Dagger is set in modern times. The dramatic and evocative story includes heroes, villains and a multitude of colourful characters who become involved in high jinks and a series of comic episodes across the wild landscapes of the moor, to ensure that their ingenious plan is fulfilled.
This volume also includes three short stories based on Exmoor legends.
