This novella is a farewell kiss to the men of the Finding Forever series, and a Valentine's gift to my readers. Ry and Cart, Jake and Micah, Alex and each have their moment in this novella along with cameos by several of the supporting characters who have appeared throughout the series. Please note that it is not a standalone.
With only a few weeks left before they become parents, Ry and Cart invite their friends to Lake Tahoe for a few days of fun the weekend before Valentine's Day. Surprises await each of the couples as they hit the slopes and the hot tub, enjoy the lake and the mountains, and discover more about each other and their partners.
This was a delicious cherry on top of a heart-wrenching (in the best way) sundae.
It took me a minute to get into the pacing with all the POV changes and I wasn't quite sure when we were starting but the payoff was great. I loved how the author brought all the characters together (even some secondary characters) to give them this little encore and and I loved how neatly each couple's story was tied up.
It definitely hit me in the feels!
The main thing that prevented me from giving it five stars was that
Just as the author states, this is truly a farewell kiss, a love letter to the fans/readers of her Finding Forever series. No angst here, just all our guys who have found happiness, all coupled up and enjoying a Tahoe getaway guys weekend, before two of them become parents, and another two make changes to their wedding plans, and oh, the other two, their surprise will hit you hardest of all. I dare you not to cry a few happy tears.
I loved catching up with the men of the Finding Forever series, and in this novella we get to catch up with all of them, and enjoy the next milestones in their relationships. A great read. Highly recommended.
