Kite Identity #1

Soft Targets

Rate this book

It wasnt bad. A little ...Cliche? Predicatable? Probably more suited to a 12 year old who likes action and doesnt much care about the plot holes. Fun enough read though.

I decided to read this because I thought 'Spray' was amazing.

So this was a somewhat generic teen-against-the-world kinda book. I liked that sort of thing, so that was fine by me.

Megan and Luke were alright, no blazing personality from either. I felt there should have been a lot more angst and fear given the situation. When one of them cried it felt completely unrealistic given their earlier reactions. It was also pretty obvious who was culpable and the book did little to disguise that. I found myself wondering how on earth this is the first book in a series, where it's going to go.

But I also discovered that I'd like to find that out. Because I was seriously impressed by a back-to-back double twist, which was followed closely by a second back-to-back double twist, both of which caught me out. Those twists really jumped my rating up, and I will likely search out book 2.

Didn't want to finish this book it was a waste of time, the whole story just goes round and round in circles, megan travelling, someone dies, luke is worried, megan travelling, luke...ect. So boring!!! The only reason i kept reading was to find out who was hunting megan and luke down but even then i gave up and just skipped to the back to find out!! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME!!

Fast paced, possibly a little over the top but I liked the action....resourcefulness of the characters.
