Most cancer research dollars have been wasted by asking the wrong questions, looking in the wrong places, and recycling the same failed approaches while expecting different results. Conventional cancer treatments damage health, cause new cancers, lower the quality of life, and decrease the chances of survival. In fact, most people who die from cancer are not dying from cancer, but from their treatments!
That's the bad news. Here's the good We can end the cancer epidemic. In Never Fear Cancer Again , readers will gain a revolutionary new understanding of health and disease and will come to understand that cancer is a biological process that can be turned on and off, not something that can be surgically removed or destroyed with radiation or toxic chemicals. So whether cancer has already been diagnosed or if prevention is the concern, it is possible to turn off the wayward production of these malfunctioning cells once and for all by reading this book and implementing its strategies.
The key to any disease has one simple malfunctioning cells that are created by either deficiency or toxicity. By switching off the malfunctioning cells, you switch off the cancer. Never Fear Cancer Again guides readers along six pathways that cause deficiency or toxicity at the cellular nutritional path, genetic path, medical path, toxin path, physical path, and the psychological path. By making key lifestyle changes, people truly have the power to take control of cancer and transform their health. This radically different, yet holistic approach restored author Raymond Francis back to health just as it has helped thousands of others, many of whom were told they had no other options or that their cancer was incurable. Take back your health with this book and never fear cancer again.
It would be a mistake to view Raymond Francis' Never Fear Cancer Again as a book solely about preventing Cancer. What the book is really about is health and how to maintain it. Right from the start, Francis makes it clear that all disease originates in the cells, and that the only path to health -- whether that's curing Cancer or any other disease -- is to heal the cells. This is the central tenet of the book, which is all about how to avoid or cure cellular malfunction and thereby maintain or regain wellness.
Francis is extremely critical of the modern medicine, particularly what he calls the Cancer industry. The book cites alarming statistics about conventional medicine's lack of success with surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, all of which, Francis states, cause and promote, rather than heal, Cancer. It's pretty shocking stuff, as is the statement that conventional medicine in general is some 100 years behind biological science and that most modern doctors are irrelevant at best and dangerous at worst. While this may be a big statement to take on-board, the Six Pathways, framework is clear and easy to understand and on an intuitive level alone, makes excellent sense in terms of living a high quality, healthy, disease free long life. It also aligns perfectly with Max Gerson, Victoria Boutenko and other proponents of self-healing through diet, exercise, reduction of stress, etc.
The first part of the process is to eliminate what's making you sick - remove what Francis calls "The Big 4" from your diet - that is sugar, white flour, processed oils, and dairy/excess animal protein, replacing processed, highly toxic foods with organic, unprocessed fresh fruit and vegetables, legumes, sprouts, raw nuts, seeds, and whole grains. Other ways to get healthy include removing the toxins from our life. This is suprisingly difficult, since nearly everything in our houses, from the carpets to our toothpaste, our water, our clothing, and even our vehicles is toxic. I found this chapter a little alarming, and while there are certainly alternatives available for many of the toxic items Francis points out, it can be paralysing to think about how many alternatives to what we're already using are required. Exercise, visualisations, getting adequate sunlight, and avoiding drugs and surgery at all costs are also key paths to wellness.
The simplicity of the Beyond Health model makes it very attractive, and certainly for those of us who are interested in staying well and avoiding diseases of all kinds the advice in this book is easy to accept and very worthwhile. Eating less junk food and more fresh vegetables and fruit and raw healthy grains, sprouts and nuts can only do us good, as can reducing our exposure to toxins and perhaps supplementing with a good multi-vitamin and fish oil at least. Few people, including medical doctors, would argue that the traditional Western diet is severely deficient, or that most people don't get enough exercise, fresh air and sunlight, and live lives that are chronically stressful.
Beyond that, a difficult choice has to be made. Do you accept that modern medicine has it terribly wrong, not only with the ubiquitous treatment of Cancer, but with the treatment of ailments of all kinds, from diabetes to asthma, heart disease to the treatment of infection, and simply stop asking for treatment for these conditions, instead going the full hog with alternatives? That's a question that each individual will have to answer for his or herself and it's not easy to buck the entire medical establishment, eschewing everything from antibiotics to vaccinations. I haven't yet made up my mind on this point, and I'm sure I'll be hedging my bets for some time to come. In the meantime, the healthier you are and the closer you follow advice like Francis', the less chance there is that you'll have to make that difficult choice. Prevention certainly, as Francis points out many times in Never Fear Cancer Again is much easier than cure.
Readers beware that the book Never Fear Cancer Again offers unsound health advice, is very misleading, and is potentially dangerous. Even the title is misleading because the book actually causes readers to fear getting cancer, even if you are and live completely healthy. This is due to the claims that most of our diets and lifestyles promote cancer. If you have cancer, the book is more dangerous since it recklessly states that doctors poison patients with conventional medical treatments, which are ultimately “useless” treatments. The bottom line is beware that the book promotes alternative medicine (meant to substitute mainstream care) and not complementary medicine (which is used only to supplement mainstream medical care). The distinction is essential.
There is an excellent article online from 9/2014 titled Mythbusters: Complementary and Alternative Treatments in Cancer. This article reviews clearly treatments which are proven beneficial, those that are not, and gives sound nutritional advice. It also warns that a “major problem is there are still quacks claiming alternative cures”, which is relevant to the advice in Never Fear Cancer Again. Alternative practitioners prey on the vulnerability of people to try “safer” alternative treatments, especially those who have difficulty with conventional medical treatments. Note, if someone has truly failed traditional medicine, a trial of alternative medicine may be an option. Unfortunately, some people are mislead (as with this book) into using alternative treatments from the start, and thus delay potential lifesaving medical care.
Alternative practitioners often focus on trying to discredit traditional medical care, and the book’s author is no different. He claims that cancer specialists (including oncologists and researchers) purposely don’t cure cancer since their livelihoods would be gone. We are suppose to believe these professionals want people to get cancer and die from it, including themselves and their families (?) This just doesn’t hold up to rational thinking. Moreover, the author tries to prove that modern medicine is stuck in the 1950’s. Unfortunately for the author, most people are well aware of the advances in medical care and cancer research. Even more compelling is that most people have experienced this benefit either in their lives or the lives of people close to them.
The book’s author tries to misguide readers to believe in his diet and life protocol, which he claims first cured his own medication-induced liver disease. It is unfortunate if he (or anyone) had side effects from medicine, including liver injury. But fortunately our bodies (and livers) can regenerate and heal. There is no magical cure the author discovered, and this certainly makes him no expert on health and longevity.
Overall, the author goes through a lot of trouble to try and convince readers of the science behind his advice on diet and lifestyle. Unfortunately, many of his explanations of cellular physiology have no scientific basis (termed pseudoscience by another astute reviewer). He then tries to get people to purchase his supplements, in spite of many studies showing that multiple supplements do not reduce the risk of cancer, and may actually increase the risk of dying from cancer. (Oregon State University has the Linus Pauling online site with excellent information on vitamins and supplements).
Hopefully people will realize if someone has truly found a cure for disease and/or cancer, we will all know. What person would not want to know? You don’t have to search obscure books for the answer. Lastly, the longest-lived and cancer-free people are not vegetarians, as the book may lead you to believe. The longest-lived and cancer-free people have good, well balanced diets, and aren’t taking a bunch of supplements. Save your time and money. Read the Mythbusters article, exercise, eat well, and enjoy life. Focus on health, and not cancer or alternative fads.
Loved this book! It has fantastic information on how to reverse cancer and also how to prevent it. The author gives excellent, real, attainable examples of how to accomplish this and has done it himself. A must read for anyone curious and concerned about good health and certainly for those with a diagnosis of the Big C.
I believe that it is a must for every single person to read this book. This books reveals the shocking truth about cancer. "Cancer can be reverse and prevented" and every cancer patient can reverse this disease. I am a firm believer of the fact that in order to solve a problem, we must first look at the roots of the problem that caused it to happen. Cancer starts with one cell in the body. In fact, any disease starts out with a cell in your body and all you have to do is restore cells to their natural phase by not feeding it what its asking till it stops multiplying and dies.
After all, I do agree with most of what the author have said. However, there are very few things the author mentioned that I do not believe. For an example, he mentioned that the daily need of sodium is 220mg per day which i believe to be false. Non-active people may need 1,500mg and active may need more up to 2,300mg per day. But one simple thing didn't make me change my mind about the book. I still think everyone has to read it, this book can make you think of changing your life, and shows you the things you have been doing in your life that you didn't know were wrong.
An excellent overview of what cancer actually is, and how you can prevent and treat it naturally. Sometimes it gets a little tough with all the medical jargon - but he does a pretty good job of keeping it understandable for the general populace. A must read before you dive into ANY treatment plan!
More like 3.5. Was filled with great information but had some outdated info. Also some of his advice seems a bit dangerous when it comes to already having cancer. There’s the whole aspect of cost too. Most people can’t afford to do the treatments he writes about. A lot of people have to make a choice between having health insurance and paying for great naturopathic doctors, good food and supplements. As someone that has to make this choice myself it’s very overwhelming. But I can either pay for a system that won’t treat me properly and cross my fingers I don’t need emergency help or pay for drs out of pocket that will actually help me, doing both is often too hard for many people. Such a broken system. But I’m doing much of what this author writes about and for sure am proof that paying attention to your body and trusting your instincts when it comes to your health is everything.
I listened to the Audiobook version, but will be getting myself a hard copy for future reference. An easy to understand and comprehensive review of what causes cancer, how to avoid it and how to reverse it. have learnt many things to improve my health and highly recommended!
I am so glad I stumbled upon this author (thank you, Audible). This was hands down the best health book ever! Don't let the word "Cancer" in the title fool you - like it almost did me. This is a good book for general knowledge on how to be healthy. Filled with loads of fantastic information. I never got bored as the book got better as it went on. It all made sense from my standpoint. If you want to invest in any health book, I'd advise in this one. After listening to it on Audible (not plugging it, honestly), I went directly to purchase it...as it was too good to not have. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Thank you, thank you!!!!
This is an excellent instruction manual on how to eat right and live healthy. It starts out with information about cancer and other diseases and how they come about. Then it talks about the Six Pathways in detail, to taking supplements and preventing disease. It is a lot to take in, so this book isn't something you will read in one day and understand. It is best to read a little at a time and then take action on it. MH has even read it and was very interested in the information talked about.
I had this book from the library and kept renewing it because there was so much information to take in. I kept writing down which pages to copy and then I realized it was most of the book so I ordered my own copy. This is a book to own full of information to prevent cancer ranging from diet and exercise to attitude.
There is a lot of good, sound advice in this book, but despite the fact that there is a bibliography at the back, I feel it would add more credibility to the book if the claims made throughout were actually referenced. I also was uncomfortable about the way the author categorically states that current cancer treatments only cause harm and do no good. This stance only puts more pressure on cancer patients and seems to shame rather than support patients who for whatever reasons cannot treat their cancers 100% holistically.
Opened my mind over new levels of nutrition thinking and how to handle different things in life, highly recommended for everyone interested to take their health to the next level.
The book is well written. However the author is taking extreme in some cases. Evidence and experiments research are needed to support authors arguments.
