It was as visually busy as any other DK Eyewitness Book I’ve read. However, that also means it was jam-packed with a ton of text and visual examples which is awesome.

This book went through the history of perspective as a “discovery.” It covered the inventions to try to capture or simplify perspective as well as the various artistic applications throughout time. Most of the book focused on the earlier (pre-20th century) studies and art using perspective.

I wouldn’t say this book is a great help to learning how to actually draw in perspective, but it does provide a lot of examples and intellectual information about it.
