Name of Novel: Remember me?
Author: Moya Simons.

Read the blurb and analyse the front cover, then predict what you think the novel is going to be about?

The cover is a hot pink cover with photos of family members, which tells me its about a family member writing a diary about their life, the photos are of a dog called Buster, Mum, Me, Dad? and Thick Nick.
The blurb tells me its about a girl called Amber who was given a diary from her mother so she could unclutter her mind and so she doesn't get confused. Amber's life is changing as her mother has married to a man called Thick Nick and Amber hasn't even met her real dad yet. But according to Amber life is never simple...

Main Characters:

Mother
Thick Nick
Buster
Erika
Clint
Ambers real Father (Frank)

What are the main ideas or themes which are discussed in the novel:
The main ideas or themes in the novel is Ambers father is trying to find her and when they eventually find each other it is slightly awkward for the both of them... Also Amber having to deal with life being different now that her mother has a new husband and having to live like a family with Thick Nick, but Amber may just underestimate Nick a bit too early.

How is the novel similar to your own life:
The novel isn't really similar to my own life as my parents are both together and i don't have a dog. But in a way it kind of is i guess i write down things in a diary as i get confused as well and it makes my mind feel much clearer.

What have you learned from reading your novel:
I have leaned how lucky i am to have met my father and live with him and have a good relationship with him, but poor Amber has only met her father at the age of twelve, when i am twelve and i have known my father all my life. I have learned you should love the way you look just the way you are.

Would you recommend this book to other readers? Explain why or why not.
Yes,I would definitely recommend this book
as i think this is a great book for all girls to read, as you can totally relate to it, about meeting cute boys and finding out just where you exactly you are in your life. It is also a great short little book where Amber writes in her diary about all funny things, from making up her own little creative words to the story of her family and life.
