They were nice and very friendly. They knew a lot of places. Tom thought they were fun. Tom certainly had a lot to learn about life. This is a collection of short stories about adventures on trains. It was my first english book. I think that the author was limited by the level , Although , the first story was interesting.
The second and third stories were kind of boring, full of unnecessary details, because the writer focused on the language learning and not on the story itself.
As a learning tool , I find it really useful.

I like short stories like this book because I don’t get bored. This is good for English learners like me. I will recommend this to my classmates at English school. It has glossary, too. That’s wonderful. It became much easier for me after understanding English words.

This contains three short stories.
The first one is nice. Communications among people on a train was interesting. While some people keep talking, two people keep quiet. There is no words conversation among them. However, they actually communicated without words, such as eye contacts or gestures. A woman said that sometimes people don’t need words. I like that. And the last part, I couldn’t expect that punch line.

The second one is not so bad, but I don’t remember that much.

The third one is funny. I mean, I like the protagonist, a old man who is quiet and people hardly recognize him. Two people came into the same room of a night train, and began to argue. They seemed the didn’t know there he was. So, the protagonist could see all things happened. I could slightly guess what was going to happen in the end, but I was able to enjoy his thoughts that why these people didn’t see him. At last, he had a glass of vodka with frightened face. I may be weird but his frightened face looked cute.

1.One-way ticket/Oxford/level1
2.60minutes
3.a train, a carriage, a bored woman, get off the train, a lot of money, a quiet carriage, a beautiful neck less
4.Have you used a train to travel? - No, I haven't. I used an airplane when I traveled.
5.There are three short stories in the book, so it was easy to read. The last story was about ghosts. If I were a main character, I would run away soon after seeing ghosts.

this is my forth English book I have read. I love to read Oxford Bookworms, as I found easy to understand and gradually improved after reading few books.

First, "the Girl with Green Eyes" , Julie is brave woman, She listen to her heart and get off the train at Plymouth with that tall dark man.

Second, "South for the Winter", Tom Walsh is nice boy, he is too nice and too easy trust strangers , so his life is not easy , in prison.

Third, "Mr Harris and the Night Train", Mr Harris is quiet man, he relived the accident of Elena and her brother in the carriage on the train. who had died about eighty years ago.

These three short stories are fascinating and surprising. I read and listened to the stories at once. The voice is obvious. I assure that you can listen to them nicely without looking at words. I cannot stop myself reading until the last words. I love all of them, considerately. I would recommend the book for English reading beginner.
Have a good reading time.

The book has three stories two of which were really ridiculous and pointless and their endings were not good but one of the stories is relatively good there are not many special words to learn in my opinion

It is a good book to start reading in English but the level was very lower for me like A2. Also there were lots of repeating phrases like “ one or two” and it was irritating to me.

This collection is brief and concise but there wasn't much deepness into it. That is why I think this book is for younger audiences who are starting to read more voraciously but briefly only. There are probably harder words that is why.

~*~
"People don't always need words, young man,' the children's mother said."

"I never stay in one country for a long time. It gets boring. I like to move on, see new places, meet different people. It's a good life, most of the time. When I need money, I get a job. O can do most things- hotel and restaurant work, building work, picking fruit. In Europe you can pick fruit most of the year. You need to be in the right country at the right time, of course. It's not easy work, but the money's not bad."

1. OXFORD , LEVEL1

2.5/=90min

3.train, carriage, man, the girl, green eyes,St Austell, Plymouth

4a. Go and have your holiday in St Austell. You can have a good time there. Forget about Julie.

4b. At first, Bill was going to St Austell with Julie. But Julie thought she didn't go to there.
And maybe she became to dislike his character. Then she got off the train at Plymouth. With the tall dark man. Bill ought to have enjoyed holiday with Julie in St Austell. Eventually, the holiday changed for forget Julie in St Austell.

5. I was recommended this book by Kanae. This is the first time what I read a suspense book. Truthfully, this book was difficult for me to feel interesting. But I thought there was intellectual fun. So I want to understand like that.
