Fae Gods

Rate this book
When Jocelyn's unhappy marriage hits rock bottom, three strangers appear, offering to help repair her relationship as Love Architects. To fully immerse themselves in their role, they move in with Jocelyn and her husband, using their seemingly otherworldly understanding of love and relationships to teach Alex how to care for his wife, including giving hands-on intimacy lessons.
But little does Jocelyn know, these mysterious men have been with her every step of the way, rotating in shifts to watch over her 24/7/365 since the moment she reached maturity. Invisible to her, they have been present for every key moment in her life, their duty to protect her and keep her safe as she is of royal fae blood.
As they work to save her marriage, the fae gods find themselves falling for Jocelyn and she for them. However, their love is impossible and their relationship could have deadly consequences in the fae world. And when one of them accidentally takes her as a mate, things get even more complicated. As they struggle to keep their true identities hidden and navigate their forbidden love, they must also confront the dangers that threaten their relationship and decide where their loyalties lie — with the fae world or with the woman they have come to love.

#1 Bestselling Author x 4

A cousin to Billie Eilish (though she's never met her in person), blood descendant of Wild Bill Hickok, and a long line of artists and creators, Kathy Haan believes the secret to telling a great story is living one. The second youngest, in a massive horde of children between her parents, she did her best to gain attention and kept everyone entertained with jokes and wild stories.

She lives a life of adventure with her hunky husband, three children, and Great Pyrenees in the Midwest United States. While new to fiction, you might’ve seen her work in Forbes, where she’s a regular contributor. Or, in Notoriety Network’s 12x international award-winning documentary, #SHEROproject.

I really liked the book at first. I like the writing style and I liked Jocelyn very much. She wasn’t too weak or naive which made it pleasant to read.
The 3 men I also liked, especially there approach to Jocelyn and her marriage. Smut was good too and loved the tention from the start.

What I didn’t like is that when she was kidnapped by Socrates she immediatly fell for him. It just made her seem so desperate to feel loved after her failed marriage where she got almost no love. That also made her connection to her guardians feel way less significant. Like every person that shows her a little affection she will fall for.

And like I didn’t trust Socrates so I didn’t feel that connection, which made me cringe during the smut and that almost never happens 😭

I really started with liking this book, but the end was very sudden and rushed

Yalll! I forgot my dang headphones at HOME today so no audiobooks for me. Guess I will finally get the 'indie fantasy book with under 100 ratings' prompt on the r/fantasy challenge checked off! And just in time, this book has 99 ratings!

I am just going to pretend our girl Jocelyn has magic dna that makes every fae man fall in love with her! Becuase all four of these fae men with the same personality were all down HORRENDOUS and I could not understand why! But hey the love scenes were top tier so I am not complaining!

first of all I love Vox he is my favorite. Most of this book I was waiting for her to divorce alex so that she can be with my men because she has been so emotionally and physically and sexually deprived Of everything so three is better than one (;. For those that are coming into this book or want to read it it's a really good journey but nothing happened more than what was in the synopsis besides the last chapter.

Now I didn't know this book was part of a trilogy so it cut off on a cliffhanger and now I have to wait.
Plus Socrates came in and told her the complete truth and made her disbelieve in my men I don't like that at all. That whole idiot brought her to the fae realm and got her exposed. I am upset that she feels betrayed by them especially because they were about to tell her too. I mean we were making progress....good progress

Didn't realize that this was part of a series. The interactions between Jocelyn and Socrates was weird, especially after everything else. The ending was unsatisfying (and a cliffhanger), I probably won't continue the series.

The synopsis is 95% of the book. Only got the 3rd star because the end seems interesting

I DNF this about a chapter in. It was fine. But the story didn’t catch my attention.

It was easy to read. Even the fae world building is written in a way that flows nicely.

It did feel like two different stories. One where the faes are teaching Jocelyn and Alex how to better their marriage, and one where the fairy lands will be destroyed if Jocelyn doesn't figure out her magic abilities.

Overall, the book and especially the smut kept me reading, but there were some plot holes that were hard to ignore.
