Salem has a thirst for adventure that appears to be insatiable and, when coupled with his fearless zeal for the unknown, he catches the attention of various government organizations, one of whom provides him the dangerous and exciting lifestyle he craves. When he meets Lezlie, he immediately realizes he has found the perfect partner. She has a deep-seated thirst for revenge that Salem manages to provide opportunity for while also giving her life a purpose for which she has the necessary skills. The two of them join forces to create one of the deadliest killing duos ever recruited by the government. When an assassination in Russia fails, they find themselves fighting for their lives. The mixed story lines of trust and vengeance make for a rapid-fire thrill read that will leave the reader wanting more.
Brash is James Bond with an attitude, a twisted sense of humor, and chip on his shoulder. This book was not my normal read, but in my tradition of Monsters, Madness, Mayhem and Murder, this book had the last two and a little bit of madness mixed in. The action kept me interested, but it seemed rushed on the revenge. I prefer my revenge slow and agonizing (evil grin). It was a refreshing change in my reading line up.
