Designed to look like Cosmopolitan magazine, this parody surveys new trends in cat chic and includes excerpts from Jackie Collars' bestseller "Hollywood Housecats," a feline fashion layout featuring top-model Pawlina Purrzikova, and a centerfold of Burmese Reynolds in the buff
There is so much to love about Catmopoliton- a lot of the advertisements are full page color AND full of good puns ( one of my favorites is the ad for “New Flea Furry Rider” by Flea ‘the brand for fur”- a pair of the cutest kitty jeans fashioned after Lee jeans. The cat modeling is so cute! The end page is a delight, featuring a chunky white short hair wearing a color blocked spandex outfit. It’s so good, you really have to see it!
As soon as I saw this book on the shelf, I knew I needed it. My plan is to eventually gift this book but I just had to read it myself first. It was hilarious. The whole premise is Cosmopolitan magazine but for cats and it totally delivers. Even better that this was made in 1987 so the references are super dated and comical. Highly recommend for any cat lover.
This book counts for Whateverathon II for a book with green on the cover, a book in a different format, and a book with a one word title.
Amusing take on Cosmopolitan for cats! Articles include Good Mousekeeping, Hollywood Housecats, what to do if Tom is pussyfooting around and warnings about getting hooked on catnip. Features an interview with Garfield, Burmese Reynolds as a centrefold and advertisements for such beauty giants as Estee Longhair,C'LawReal and Clawnique nail polish. My cats loved it!
