The Way Things Work-

I think it is a phenomenal technology encyclopedia that just simply breaks intricate technologies down accurately. Although this is somewhat old book, and an ancient book considering how fast technology goes, I believe it was great at explaining technology in its day and many years later today. A superb technology book and I’m still amazed and baffled by how accurate and helpful it is today.
Although, I consider this the explanation, of the roots of modern technology, and I enjoy seeing old technologies from far before my time. This I think explains the foundation of the mountain of technology on which we sit today. It still surprise me how far we’ve come in the 40 year time gap and it surprise me more by how much we’ve THINK we’ve gone in 40 years.
This is a great book if you want to know how the technologies work around you. I think it is a definite must read for any one interest in the technologies that made our country (the US) so successful, and the technologies that furthered civilization in general. I thinks a must read, great book very detailed technology book.
