Rhett Devane has really hit the mark with this novel! The characters are three-dimensional, living, breathing characters that could live next door to you or me, but surely live within the pages of the novel. The descriptions of places are so accurate that I am whisked there immediately when reading! The storyline of battling breast cancer is so important for women everywhere. Devane obviously has done her research well. I loved this book so much that I'm buying extra copies as Christmas presents for some of my nearest and dearest friends and family!

Mama’s Comfort Food by Rhett Devane is a deeply moving and heartfelt story about identity, healing, family, and second chances. Karen’s journey is emotional, honest, and beautifully written, making it easy to connect with her struggles and root for her growth. The blend of Southern charm, personal reflection, and resilience gives this novel a warmth that lingers long after the last page. A touching and inspiring read for anyone who loves character-driven stories with heart.
