Un western che racconta storie tragiche, con drammi familiari (quelli del Bouncer appunto) che ti tengono incollato alle pagine. Una spiccata originalità scandita dal tono grezzo del selvaggio West ne fanno una perla del genere, frutto di un genio della nona arte: Jodorowsky.
La sua interpretazione di una figura accattivante come quella del buttafuori da saloon (in questo caso monco), contorniata da una folta cerchia di elementi dalla spiccata personalità, rendono l’atmosfera palpabile facendoti assaporare ogni singolo istante trascorso nella violenta Barro City e dintorni.
E poi il protagonista è il classico duro da spaghetti western, che per di più vanta un background di tutto rispetto spalmato sulle 300 pagine di questo primo volume, cosa si può volere di più? E’ già perfetto!

La passione di Jodo per le mutilazioni e le saghe di famiglia trova nuova linfa nel western. Ottimo Boucq, un po' occultato da una colorazione troppo opprimente.

Visual deceptions for twists will carry through, Lord Diablo’s partially hidden face will appear . Jodorowsky is a playful plotter with fun twists as good as they come, I wonder how he gets it in his head to do them…

Początkowo przeszkadza gruba kreska, ale z każdą częścią jest lepiej. Fabuła - zbiór westernowych schematów, wszystko bez jakiejś specjalnej głębii. Dobra rozrywka.
