There is this expression in Lithuanian, which loosely translated sounds like "cheap food suits dogs only". Yeah, I think it's about time for me to stop wasting my money (and time, and high hopes...) on cheap books with gorgeous guys on the cover:) It's not that this particular book did not have some potential. It did. Not enough to be something good or something worth reading though. The only thing that author managed to portray beautifully was physical attraction (with one exception - "he wanted to feel her slick heat clenching around his stiff prick" I'm not sure about you, English speaking people, but I burst out laughing reading that:-)). Nothing more. There was absolutely no story behind- only bits and pieces of something that she failed to show in her book.
If you want a good PNR, read "Demonica" series instead. At least L. Ione knows how to entwine a good romance and physical attraction with exceptionally interesting story line.

Fierce Dawn by Amber Scott is an intense, action-packed story with a heavy dose of sexual tension! After her mother's death, Sadie is struggling with her sanity and is forced to seek help while her younger sister steps up to play the adult. Soon on the road to recovery, Sadie has to convince not only her sister and doctor, but herself, that she is fit to have her independence back. Art quickly becomes her escape and she paints in vivid detail the mystery man who has been consuming her dreams. Imagine Sadie's surprise when said mystery man shows up to the library where she works! Just when she thinks her crush is beyond her grasp, she wakes up to find him watching over her. Sadie's world is changing fast and she must find a balance that makes everyone happy.

Elijah is the epitome of tall, dark and handsome. He has been watching over Sadie, trying to figure out exactly what she is. She isn't human but she isn't an immortal either and everyone seems to want her. But Elijah just doesn't want her for what she is becoming, but for a more forbidden reason. An immortal in his position isn't allowed to have feelings for a human and Elijah finds himself struggling with the demanding attraction that Sadie is putting off.

Ms. Scott definitely knows how to write about sexual tension. There are several times in Fierce Dawn where you could cut the sexual tension with a knife and other times that it is just laugh out loud funny. The chemistry between Sadie and Elijah pulled me in almost immediately and it only got better as the story progressed. Not to mention the storyline itself is a must read!

I had a few people tell me that I shouldn't start reading this book until I had the time to dedicate to it and of course, I didn't believe them. I kept waiting for a good stopping point, which finally occurred on the last page! I learned my lesson and so I warn you now: You will not be able to put this book down once you start reading it!

Due to the adult content in this book, it should be read by mature adult audiences only!

Anytime a book contains winged immortals, prophecy, romance, intrique, deception, and a strong female lead, I’m pretty much sold. This was the case with Fierce Dawn, an arousing new novel by Amber Scott. In Fierce Dawn, Sadie lives in the “normal” world where visions, dreams, and compulsive writing label a person as crazy. When Sadie’s dreams, writings, and painting become more compulsive, her family is worried that Sadie has gone crazy, like her mother before her. However, it turns out that while Sadie is not normal, she is far from being mentally challenged. Sadie is a changeling, turning from mortal to immortal, and discovering a new powerful realm.
Elijah is a seeker, a beautiful immortal with wings, searching for his lost brother. After months of searching, Elijah and his friends feel that Sadie could be their best hope for finding their lost comrade. Elijah becomes Sadie’s protector while she undergoes the change, and the chemistry between them is electric and powerful. Being immortal, Elijah has become jaded by love, thinking that love is mostly a fleeting human emotion. This attitude of Elijah’s is frustrating, and I found myself angry at the character quite a bit. Despite Elijah’s objections, sparks fly between him and Sadie throughout the book and I found myself rooting for everything to work out.
Fierce Dawn set the foundation for what could become a great series. I find myself attached to the characters and wanting to see what happens next. The world and the characters are interesting, powerful, and sensual. I am looking forward to reading more from Amber Scott in the future. Paranormal Romance fans, I highly recommend this book!

I've read a lot of Amber Scott's books and I've loved them all. This one was no exception, but it was a little harder for me to get into, mostly because I only casually read paranormals. If you love paranormal, and you don't read this, well....YOU SHOULD.

There is so much going on in this story. It starts with Sadie and her sister, Heather coping with their mother's issues, then flashes forward to Sadie dealing with her own problems and Heather acting the part of the concerned parent. (Even though she is the younger sibling). One thing I can say throughout most of the book, Heather was obnoxious. She spent so much time worrying that Sadie was insane, that it was hard to believe she wasn't. She definitely would have driven me there!

The real essence of this story is the relationship between Sadie and Elijah. There's some sexual tension here that you need a knife to cut! Elijah is a seeker from another realm. Sadie is a human..or she thinks she is...actually she's a changling. Not quite human but not totally immortal. Immortals view love in a different way from humans and this is really the key to keeping that tension level high.

She's also the key to finding a long lost book that has information about the two realms. There are a lot of people looking for Sadie and most of them aren't looking for her for good reasons.

Ms. Scott keeps this story moving at a fast pace by combining mystery, romance and a lot of the unexpected. There were quite a few plot twists near the end that I definitely didn't see coming. I'm looking forward to the second book in this series.

what to say about this book, fierce dawn is a very well written book, its full of ups and downs and i love this about a book. Keeps you interested and wanting to read more.
when growing up sadie had to deal with a mother with mental problems which then leads her to have her own problems, which leads to her needing mental care. She dreams of a man with wings and she doesn't know why, this then affects her life and he sister starts to notice. She then meets Elijah, he is an immortal hottie, yummy. i want some of him lol.. He needs Sadie's help in finding a lost friend. this then leads on to them falling for each other, its not the normal, see hot guy and fall for I'm, it has its ups and down, but when they do get together the scenes become very hot and steamy. The lucky girl.
I really liked this book, I thought it was well written, yeah I said that before but its true. It had lots of ups and downs which I like about a book because it keeps me interested, keeps me wanting more. I think Amber scott did a really good job with book and i say to her bring on the next one. I cant wait for it

My Opinion:
Let me start by saying that I have never been a big fan of paranormal, wolf, demon or other type books ever before. This book, along with a few others, has completely changed my mind about the genre! This book is the love story of Elijah and Sadie, and the two make a perfect pair. The love that is felt from the beginning to the end is magical. Sadie has to discover her powers and save the ones she loves, and her love holds no bounds no matter what Elijah says. No matter how hard her sister tries to stop her. It is a dark, suspense filled tale that will have you smiling, laughing and will even make you a bit angry at Sadie’s sister. I am so thankful I was able to get my hands on a copy of this book. It was an awesome way to start off reading the paranormal genre and I will be checking out more of this type in the future as I fell in love with the author. The writing was fantastic. The setting of the book was also great. I felt I was in the story as I was reading it. This one is well worth getting! I don’t think you want to miss this one. I highly recommend you getting a copy!
I give Fierce Dawn by Amber Scott 4.5 of 5 stars. It is also another of my 2012 favorites!

He stepped closer, so close he could see thin gold flecks in her sky blue eyes. “Do you remember the night something chased you past the park?”
Her eyes widened. She perceptibly swallowed. “A werewolf?”
“No,” Elijah said, not wanting to correct the mortal term and create even more confusion. “I thought she was a shapeshifter, but she claimed to be a changeling. And that you are, too.”
“It doesn’t sound like you’re sure I am.”
“I wasn’t. Until now. The changeling has been following you. I can’t get a strong enough trace to hunt her again.”
“She wants me dead?”
“I don’t think so, but she wants something. She’s waiting, watching.”
Her hand went to her throat but her gaze hardened. “That’s why you want me to come with you?”
“Yes,” Elijah said. “There are immortals who would kill you just to keep the realms pure. Half-breeds aren’t tolerated in the immortal realm. They’re seen as inferior, tainted perfection by many. A changeling would be far worse. Right or wrong, your existence threatens both realms. The fact that I’m not the only one who knows you are transforming puts you in higher danger.”
She threw her hands up and started yanking drawers open, tossing clothes aside. Impatient but not angry.
He took in her every move, listened to the even keel of her vibration. She sounded resolved. Elijah’s worries subsided. She was far sturdier than he’d first assumed.
She paused but didn’t face him. “And?”
“And there is a faction—The Illeautians—who consider humankind parasitic. They want the human realm destroyed. If humans start evolving….”
She pulled off her tee. The smooth bare skin on her back, two crescent shaped scars at her shoulders, filled his vision. Elijah couldn’t look away as she strapped a bra around her slender ribcage and put her arms through the straps. His gaze caressed the slope of her back. Two hollows above her ass peaked out from her bottoms. His imagination filled in what he could not see.
His body tightened against his will. He had no business wanting a mortal.
Even a changeling one. Because a part of her might always be human.
Humans died. Immortals lived.
“If you’re right and I’m not going to be human anymore, why would anyone care what I am?” She brought a snug blue shirt over her head then glanced meaningfully over her shoulder.
He should turn around, give her privacy. “Because, what are realm lines for if humans are evolving? Mortals live, they die, they do not become immortal. In human terms, it could be seen as the first stages of Armageddon. Only this wouldn’t be a war between Heaven and Hell.”

Sadie has been dreaming of a gorgeous guy for months. When she paints her dreams, he becomes the image on canvas-but with wings. When she gets into trouble a local club, her dream guy becomes her reality and brings with him news that not all is what is seems in the mortal world. She is a changeling; a human that is turning immortal and changelings blur the lines between mortal and immortal realms.
Sadie falls for Elijah fast, certain that she is in love with him, only to find out that only reason he helped her and continues to need her is purely selfishness. He needs her to find his missing friend, Crusoe. Her exact words to him are “You only want me for what I might become.”
Amid all the chaos of her new life she is introduced to Lyric, who’s past with Elijah is filled with anything but joy. He has the aura of a bad boy but what is he hiding? And what is the real issue with Elijah?

This book is filled with mystery, intrigue, and so much emotion that I could feel right down to my bones. All of Sadie’s anxiety, frustration, confusion, sadness, rejection, and love became my emotions. I even teared up in a couple places. This book is gripping, moving, and completely engulfing. It starts off being about a woman in her 20’s that was diagnosed with mental illness and becomes a battle between good and evil. It’s not about Angels and Demons or Heaven and Hell; it’s about the line between immortals and mortals.

This book is a MUST READ!!!

There is a particular kind of pain, elation, loneliness, and terror involved in this kind of madness. - Kay Redfield Jamison

when they were teenagers, Sadie Graves and her younger sister Heather had to live through their mother's downward spiral as evidenced by self-mutilation and prophetic scribblings on her numerous journals. now twenty-two and orphaned, Sadie herself is taking medication and undergoing psychiatric care. she is having dreams of a winged handsome stranger and her behavior has become suspect to those around her. even her role as the eldest child has been displaced by Heather. unknown to Sadie, a trio of immortals headed by Elijah Stokes is shadowing her. together with Holly and Lyric, Elijah needs Sadie's help to find his teammate and friend who has disappeared in his search for the Book of Sorrows - a book believed to predict the marriage of the mortal and immortal realms.
reading half of this book was quite a struggle for me. there was so much information i needed to absorb and digest about prophecies, realms, a group of anti-human immortals called Illeautians, a mysterious book, changelings, feeders and a few other details. everything seemed like an enigma at first but it was a worthy struggle though because it did not stop me from devouring the rest of the book.
fans of the paranormal, urban fantasy and romance genres will enjoy and find something totally different and fresh from author Amber Scott.
she has hooked me again with her skillful storytelling. i have read her other books and i am just amazed at her range of writing style - from contemporary romance stories like Play Fling and Just Desserts to the historical romance novel Irish Moon.
in Fierce Dawn, she scatters cryptic pieces of her story, populates it with strange yet interesting characers, provides twists and surprises then gathers them all together to a very satisfying finish.

Amber Scott did it again. This is the third book of hers I've read in one day. I simply can not put her books down! Fierce Dawn is an adult paranormal romance like no other I've read. Her paranormal elements include Seekers, Elementals, Feeders, Vampires (nope, you will never guess what this means in her book), transporting, and Changelings.

Of course, you can't read an Amber Scott book without great romance. The chemistry between the main characters, Sadie and Elijah, is envy worthy. From the get go the reader is drawn to Elijah just as Sadie is and with each give and take between these two, you follow the emotional ups and downs. The...um...'private' scenes are quite steamy!

One thing I can say about this book is I felt all the emotions. I'm not just talking about love and lust. There is action, suspense, fear, and a personal sense of not having control over your own life, no say whatsoever. The main character is thought to have mental issues like her mother, takes meds that fog her brain, and her sister receives power of attorney. Amber somehow wrote this so well I identified with her fears and helplessness. This is also true with each of the characters. The supporting characters are well written and round out the plot well. Her writing is so fluid, each character has their own distinct sense of self, personality, and they feel like real people. The "bad guys" are not revealed quickly, which is refreshing. The writing builds and instills the fear subtly, until some pretty interesting revelations come out.

I highly recommend Fierce Dawn to fans of paranormal romance. Great news for me, there is a sequel that promises lots of action involving the "bad guys" with how Fierce Dawns ends. The sequel is titled Stealing Dusk as of this review. Here we will see more of the immortal realm that co-exists along the human realm.

I Got this through amazon as a five book bundle for a total of 22,929 locations. So the percents I use won't be same as just reading the book.

First inconsistency I've noticed (I hate inconsistencies):

At 4% they talking and Holly says "I believe I've found a mortal who can become an immortal, a messenger changeling."

Then at 5% (600 locations later) he is talking to a shapeshifter that says she wanted to find out what kind of changeling Sadie would be. And the MC thinks: "changeling? Holly never used the term changeling" then again h thinks she never used term changeling.

Egh a few paragraphs later he thinks about Holly's first words: "I think she's a messenger, or could be, somehow." that's not what holly said, I already quoted what she said.

17% on large file and stopped reading this to read some good books and came back to this and had already forgotten it. Characters are boring and stale. Plot is just recycled poorly (its like a typical paranormal story just without the action or anything happening) and repetitive. Add in the boring boring boring sex and plot holes and just poor editing and this is a dud. Waste of time. But I must be an idiot because I'm going to try and finish.

I finished. Book ends at 23% of file. Somewhere at the end they separate and it was kind of good but as soon as they back together it was a snooze fest. But I finished! He kiddnapps her they have boring sex blah blah a big show down minor confrontation with bad guy and the end everything perfect. Blah blah.

If this is a series I have no desire to read anymore. Just inconsistent and underdeveloped everything, plot, characters, world, etc.

I read like ten other books trying to finish this and mostly read at night to help me get to sleep.

For starters I want to say WOW and AWESOME!!! Now that is a little off the beaten path for me as a starter for a review but this book literally kept me on the edge of my seat, seared my mind with different emotions chapter after chapter! The forbidden love and passion between Sadie and the gorgeous specimen of a 'man', Elijah made me catch my breath, and I was not able to take my eyes from the book, even when I knew I had other things to do!

I found Fierce Dawn filled with passion, romance, graphic sexual scenes (so it is not advisable for anyone under the age of 18), blood, fear, suspense, sadness, elation, to mention a few! I am not going to give much of this book away because I want YOU the reader to find out the hard and exhilarating way I did! I will tell you this, it is a paranormal book with vampires, shape shifters, seekers and the special thing Sadie turns out to be, and you will have to read the book to find that our plus the beautiful, frustrating, forbidden, sensual relationship between Sadie and Elijah and the many dangers that entails.

Amber Scott has outdone herself in Fierce Dawn and I WANT MORE!! So, I pray that Amber will allow me to read and review part II of the life of Lyric. Oh, you don't know Lyric do you? Hmmm...well, get this book and you will find out who and 'what' he is! I highly recommend this book to ALL paranormal readers who love a very wild emotional roller coaster ride!!!

I give Fierce Dawn five stars *****

Fierce Dawn is a wonderful love story involving the paranormal world. Sadie is a human who is turning into a changeling. Nobody knows exactly what Sadie will change into, or what her powers will be, so it keeps it kind of exciting. After a family tragedy, some things happen and Sadie is seen as “crazy”. Her sister hovers over her, she is forced to go to counseling, and she basically has meds being shoved down her throat. Everyone acts like Sadie is crazy, and nobody will truly listen to her. This part of the story really hits home with me, and I can totally empathize.

The character of Elijah is wonderful – just what Sadie needs. Through Elijah, Sadie finds out about the paranormal world. Finding out that she is not fully human explains her past actions and behaviors. Elijah and Sadie have amazing chemistry together. Elijah struggles with some inner turmoil and vows to not get too close to Sadie. Sadie, on the other hand, has dreamt about Elijah for months so when he actually comes into her life – she wants nothing more than to be with him.

It did take me just a little bit to get into the story, but once I did I was hooked. This book has a variety of paranormals, a lot of action, sizzling passion, and sweet romance. It's the perfect book for any adult paranormal romance reader. I'm even intrigued by the background characters. I think I read somewhere that it will be part of a series – I really hope so because I want more!

What can I say about Fierce Dawn ? I already knew I loved Amber's writing but this book sealed the deal for me. The characters immediately draw you in especially Sadie you can feel her pain and her fears of becoming exactly like her mother.

Elijah can I say I really like this guy, he will do anything to keep Sadie safe even from him self. The story at first had me confused with the story building but it didn't take long for me to understand and get mesmerized into this world. I will also add I loved her take on the paranormal world, Much different than I have read and believe me I have read a lot of different ways.

I can also say there were a couple twists I so didn't see coming, I won't say what they are but I had no clue and for me that makes for a good book if I can't guess what is going to happen.

One final thing, The sexual tension was so deep that I thought if this two didn't together soon one or both of them were going to combust.

Would I recommend? Yes wholeheartedly if you haven't read any Amber Scott's books then you should.

I actually gave it 4 and half stars

I totally loved this book and am excited to be hosting Amber and Fierce Dawn on my blog May 18th (my bday and Fierce Dawn's BSFAD) Now if you follow my reviews, my blog and such you know I don't give out 5 stars very often, and the reason I did for this one is Amber takes the paranormal to a whole new level. I loved that this wasn't just another run of the mill (though I love them at times) paranormal romance. you think you know all there is to know, then you need to read this and learn about the seekers, healers, feeders, and changelings...forget what you know, this is a whole new world. Loved it and can't wait for the next in the series. Elijah and Sadie was a great story but I am one who always goes for the underdog and can't wait to see what she has in store for Lyric! Go pick it up now, and I can tell you on May 18th you'll be able to pick up Fierce Dawn for .99 on Amazon!

It took me a few chapters to get into this book. It was hard to understand what was going on. I think those chapters could have been left out or moved and the book start with Sadie and continue the story from there. The character development was very good. You wanted Sadie and Elijah to find each other and be together. I could have done without the explicitness but that's just me. So I just skip those parts. I think there was a good balance between good and evil with good winning out - but for how long? Will definitely read the next installment. After all, we have to see how Heather and Jen transform don't we?

I loved the romance and the world building in this story. Scott creates an original paranormal world that exists secretly alongside our own and which is filled with intriguing immortal creatures. Sadie is a complex character, both vulnerable and strong at the same time and the interaction between her and Elijah (the male lead) is wonderful to read. There were some other characters though who I really, truly disliked and who I would have kicked senseless if I'd been Sadie, but she's too kind to do so sadly enough. Annoyance for these individuals aside I really enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to more books in this same setting.

This book has taken over the top spot in my favorite books. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning just so I could finish it. It's highly addictive. The characters are not only memorable, they are phenomenal. It's one of those books that leaves you thinking about it even days after you've read it. I'm not one to go back a reread a book, but this is a book I could read over and over. If you love paranormal romance, you will enjoy it. Amber Scott is a superb author and her storytelling capabilities are out of this world.

Somewhat predictable without being too obvious. A few gramatical typo's that were a bit distracting, however the storyline was interesting enough to keep me with it for a long drive (2+ hours each way) and entertained at the gym on the treadmill. The clifhanger ending was no surprise either, and it was done well enough that I will probably read the next book.

"3.8 out of 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!! This is an intriguing new series with a storyline that hooked me from the beginning. This series seems like a mixture of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, the X-Men, and R. G. Alexander's Children of the Goddess series all wrapped up in a new different and exciting way!!

The characters are great to read, I loved..."

Have you ever wondered what it would be like trying to start a normal life again after you have been committed? Sadie didn’t. She was living it. Being raised with a mom that was less than, well ok A lot less than sane, didn’t help her case any. The doctors and her sister had her labeled as the predetermined daughter to follow in her mother’s footsteps. All because of the breakdown she had after her mother died. But that was behind her now. She was out and trying her best to get off of the medication the doctors put her on. She didn’t need to live her life in a fog. What she needed was feel alive and normal again. To be an active part of society and to be able to get back some of the life she lost. So, she was having sex dreams about an incredibly hot angel. That was kind of normal right? When was the last time she had sex? It was just her body’s way of telling her she needed it. And so what if they were so vivid and detailed she could paint him from memory and journal about him. It didn’t make her manic just because she was obsessing with him. He wasn’t real…or was he?
Elijah had enough problems then chasing after a human who was supposed to be some sort of something else. He had a missing brother to find and stop before he did something drastic like end one of the realms. But here he was following a girl on a hunch from his sister. He didn’t feel any vibrations from her and he was a seeker. Worse yet, she expected him to invite Lyric back into the group so he could get a feed off of her and tell him what he thought. He didn’t need a feeder around him, especially one that had supposedly kicked his addiction and was supposedly trying to stay clean. Lyric was no longer one of his brothers and he couldn’t trust him as far as he could toss him. So why had he intervened and saved her from being date raped at the club? Why was he lying to her family about being her boyfriend and why did he feel the need to keep her safe? And what was this pull he felt deep within himself, this need to have her close, no matter what the cost?
Sadie sees and feels things that aren’t there long before Elijah steps into her life, well steps out of her dreams and into her life that is. She can’t decide if she really is slipping off into insanity or if something else really is happening to her. I love Sadie. She is by far my favorite character. She’s so believable. The way she goes about rebuilding her life never knowing that something else entirely is actually happening to her. You feel her pain and her anger as everything she’s struggled to accomplish falls apart again and again. She has to recreate her world all over again but at least she’s armed with the knowledge that she was never insane. That the things she did and the things she felt were real and not just created by a sick mind. Just as she knows she loves Elijah, way before she ever admits it. She comes to trust her instincts and feelings when she realizes her role in life is way beyond anything she could have fathomed. This book was so intense that I couldn’t put it down. It is so much more than a paranormal love story. Scott has a wonderful imagination and shows you just a glimpse into this realm she has created. She’s stretched preverbal boundaries and given a fresh take into the fantasy world. This is a book that has you questioning whether the reality of her world could be a possibility. I enjoyed it immensely and would recommend it highly. I can’t wait for the next installment!!

FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC BOOK!!!

From page one I was hooked! Like an addict needing their fix, I couldn't put Fierce Dawn down!

Sadie is crazy....no, actually, her sister Heather thinks she's crazy. Ever since their mother committed suicide, and a little incident that sent Sadie to the hospital, Heather has been playing mom to her. Talk about over bearing little sister! So what if Sadie is on meds, so what if she dreams of a winged man making love to her every night, so what if she sees that winged man every day at the library. (minus the wings of course) Sadie just wants a normal life again. To not feel like she's losing her mind all the time. A little dancing therapy is just what Sadie needs, one night out with her cousin won't hurt anything.

Elijah knows that Sadie is different, even his long-time friend Holly sees the possibility in her. Maybe Sadie is going to change into a messenger, maybe she will become immortal and help them find his brother Crusoe. Maybe, maybe, maybe. What Elijah does know is that Sadie makes him feel things he's not suppose to about a mortal. Stirs emotions in him he must suppress, or else. Stalking her into a bar with her cousin isn't bad....feeling over protective and not leaving her side once her for 3 days because she was drugged is.

Waking up from a drug induced sleep groggy is normal, but finding her winged man at her side proves she's crazy! But when Elijah introduces Sadie to a world where everything makes sense to her, she knows she's not. With her body doing some MAJOR over haul (like trying to figure out why Elijah's kisses make the pain go away) , she also knows that there are people in this immortal realm who are depending upon her to help find their missing. Talk about pressure!

With her life now showing her what she has been meant for all along, Sadie has to find strength within herself to stop those who seek to destruct mankind.

Words can't even begin to describe how epic this book was. So many different thoughts & scenes keep pouring into my mind that I want to tell you all about. Love, betrayal (almost the worst kind), jealousy, kick ass fight scenes, blood addicts, Sirens, seriously this book has it all! This is one of my favorite quotes from Sadie, it's when she's coming out of her drugged sleep & finds Elijah in her room:

"Why aren't you naked?"

Just the bluntness of the comment made me laugh!

The flow of this book was insane. I never once found myself asking, "why did that happen", or, "that doesn't make sense". Amber truly knows how to create a phenomenal world and characters, with just the right splash of sexual tension! This book is by far one of my top 10 reads for the year. I would shove it in every ones face if I could, but that would be rude. So just go out & buy it!

Now I am stuck....waiting for the next book in the series....thinking of Elijah's perfect abs....

5/5

Amber Scott has created a world filled with Changelings, seekers and Magic. Now your asking what they are ?? Different for sure, something we all tend to enjoy, a storyline with a new concept and a new world we can read to enjoy and new paranormals ..... :)

Fierce Dawn is action packed, filled with thrills, twists n turns and also with romance that's sweet and also Sizzling.

If you enjoy a paranormal read, then this book is definitely for you. Filled with a new concept, with Delightful characters ** waggles eyebrows* and an interesting storyline I'm sure you will enjoy.

Fierce Dawn grabs your attention with the first few chapters, initially at first its a tad slow to take off, but this is giving us background information needed for the story to proceed. From here onwards we are taken on a whirlwind of events, that will not only you intrigued but riveted till the end. Im sure you will find yourself feeling sorry for Sadi, her life has been hard and she is trying to adjust to her life, convicning herself and others she is fine. But is she ? Is she paranoid ??

Amber has created characters I'm sure you will enjoy, filled with depth and definition, all the emotions are well portrayed and descriptions vivid and easily envisaged. ** even those glowing eyes ** and snarling and hissing .... ** trembles **

Sadi meets ELijah from this moment on her life changes, he is in her dreams - and in her heart. - Sadi 's life will never be the same. Elijah introduces Sadi to a world in which she never imagined was true, introduced her to a life she now has to live and also shows her love she only thought possible in dreams. ** The romance between the characters was sizzling ;) and the chemistry enough to cause spontaneous combustion lol. (( you get the idea )

If you love Men with Abs ** wink wink ** - wings and sex appeal I'm sure ELijah will appeal to you. Sadi's character was strong, yet confused but never gave in, I liked this about her personality.

A fluent flowing storyline, that will not only captivate you but have you souring through the pages to find out where to the story leads. Titillating moments that will have your eyelashes curling, and pages flipping and moments Im sure where you will gasp or hold your breath..

A great story -

A read I recommend to all.

This was such a mess. The underlying story of "girl gets supernatural powers and steps up to save the world" was pretty good, the problem was that I found it almost impossible to connect to it.

The world Amber Scott creates hints that it's rich and varied, but we never really get shown anything and every time she tries to explain something it just gets more and more muddled. It's very hard for me to explain exactly what I mean, but it felt like stuff was being built one atop another with no regard to context or supporting structure. For example; we get told about Immortals and their different types fairly early on, but at no point do we learn what it means for Immortals to be a Seeker or a Messenger, etc. and the impact that has on their society, or what it is they do when they aren't bothering potentially crazy women. These may not really be relevant to the immediate story, but it's the little details and offhand glimpses in to that world that can really make a story sparkle.

I didn't really get the relationship between Elijah and Sadie either. Maybe it's because I'm not really the intended audience (no matter what my book recommendations seem to claim) and if I was a true PNR fan it'd all make more sense. It just seemed that Elijah was trying very hard not to lust after/ love Sadie, then all of a sudden for no apparent reason he's all "screw it!" and they commence with the erotic scenes. I don't object to the change of mind, but it'd be nice to know what triggered it.

Just... I don't know. I guess I was hoping for some more concrete story and world building along with the supernatural loving and this just didn't scratch that itch for me.
