This was a great book and an easy read since it's actually several short stories. The title makes sense to me now. Well, the subtitle anyway. "Stories Far From Home." The author is an American living in Singapore. This book is made up of several short stories about Americans living in foreign countries - Japan, Singapore, etc. The stories are well-developed (or as well-developed as can be for short stories), and in several cases I found myself wishing the story had gone on. I want to know what happened next!

This is a MUST READ book for basically everyone who understands English and some Asian cultures. A compilation of short stories from India, Singapore and others, consisting of themes from love, deception, romance, and some action... Very good. One flaw though, no stories in Indonesia! Other than that, its perfect.
