A great Wishbone mystery; the only problem I had with it was that the play was Grease, which is rife with sexual dialogue, though no such content made it into the story, thankfully.
EDIT: Though I've never been much of an actor--seriously, I have the hardest time faking things--I have always enjoyed live stage productions, as long as they're tasteful and well-done. I'll never forget when I was in seventh grade, and we saw a holiday-themed song and dance performance from a local high school. Not only was it a blast, but there were plenty of attractive ladies up there; as someone who has always been a fan of older women, that was an added bonus. Since then, I've attended everything from church plays--ranging from kiddie Nativity pageants to even a local Methodist church's portrayal of Arsenic and Old Lace--to school plays--including ones at places I never attended, such as a Catholic school doing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat--to even Sweet Adelines concerts. I've enjoyed pretty much all of them; then again, I am a sucker for entertainment.
So...this book brings back memories of past performances I've attended, which isn't a bad thing. While I wish they had chosen a play other than Grease--seriously, that one is "PG-13" even by modern standards, which makes it a surprising choice for a Wishbone book--it was still a fun whodunit, as the books in this series usually are.
Sam is the stage manager of their play on Grease based off the movie. And someone is sabotaging stuff. One of the actors hurts her ankle David's assign malfunctions some roller skates are tampered with and even the bleachers are messed with.
David and Joe plus wishbone of course are helping her. And there is a lot of suspects and the one that it actually is I did not guess. So I thought they got off with just a slap on the wrist when things could have definitely gone wrong with the nails from the bleacher being halfway out.
I enjoyed this not as much as the others but I did enjoy it. Also you should know if you want to read the book that's talked about in here as usual it is spoiled it's Sleeping Murder which I didn't mind at all. It's always nice get two for one with these.
