This is a phenomenal book for the new-to-coaching math coach. At first I thought that with my unique situation, many of these stories and pieces of advice wouldn't apply to me, but they do. These are real scenarios in not-so-pretty school districts, and still they are success stories. Read it, and then reread it. Highlight the parts that really speak to you, and when you're having an off day, go back and read it again. It helps.
