To clarify - I read this for an MSW class during my first year practicum.

That being said, I did not like this. I did not find it useful, and I found it obnoxious at points. I have been a social worker for 10 years and started pursuing my master's two years ago. So, I have a lot of experience behind me. This book is for people with no experience. For me, it felt pandering and was not at all helpful, much of the information within was things I already know and have experience with.

However, this is not a bad book! If you are a BSW student going into practicum, pick this up!! It would have been SO helpful to me then! This is just not the book for me, where I'm at right now.

Skims a lot of territory. Not really adding any value on top of other required texts in my MSW program.
