I read this out loud in 7 hours to my ten year old god sister for her major book report (that she had 15 weeks to work on but decided to start tonight. Its due in two days. We have been working on it all day.)

Im including this on my good reads because of the hours I have spent today analyzing this book.

I do so love the Nancy Drew books. There are like a cozy comfort throwback to my teen years. Such a light hearted, gripping mystery tale wrapped up in a short, sweet story. Also I realised how uncomplicated the youth are in these books. There is so little talk of mental struggles and moping around. There is so much proactivity and enterprise, instead. A very much different world back then, I think. Love it. Oh, and these books are great for readathons. Quite easy to find books that match prompts and a fast read.

First off, this book marked the entry of Burt and Dave, the characters who stole my heart with their comic relief. Pairing them with George and Bess was an even smarter decision. Next off, this book explored a serious scenario, how even blood can betray. Not that I've been through it, but I've seen people who have. Nancy and her group's wit and remarks throughout the book were my favourite part. In a nutshell, the book really does deserve 5 stars.

I loved Nancy Drew books as a kid. I like how quick and simple the mysteries are. I feel like in this particular one though, Nancy lacked some discernment when it came to certain situations. If you know someone is out to get you, why are you constantly going off alone with strangers girl?! Nonetheless it was a cute read.

A bit simple compared to a couple of the other Nancy Drew books I've read. Maybe I remember them through rose colored lenses anyway since I read them as a child. It's a charming series though, so always a quick read and a dose of comfort.
