Oh Colin Smith and your wicked whip!! Growl!!

Olivia is a librian who falls hard for one of the patrons, Mr. Smith, who just happens to be a Dom at the local BDSM club. When she discovers he has been watching her & wanting to make her his, well, that's when the fun begins!! I especially loved when he took her to the La Maison!! And if you like a HAWT read, you will LOVE the La Maison, which caters to all types of sexual desires...GROWL!!!

I highly recommend this quick hot read...some of my fav scenes/quotes:

I haven't read many novels of this special genre before and I felt a bit intimidated by the title and cover, fearing the scenes would be too brutal for my taste. Not at all! The librarian-meets-writer premise drew me to this book and I was rewarded by a solid plot (although I would have liked to know more about Colin's background) and sizzling sex scenes, topped with a satisfying, sweet love story. I really loved the character of Colin (yup, I have a weakness for British accent). Despite being a Dom with very special wishes, he's actually a loving, gentle man (and gentleman) who takes good care of Livvy, his sub. He totally stole my heart when he spooned Livvy in bed to warm her when she was ill. In fact, it's the sub who's really the strong one in this relationship, and it moved me how much these two characters needed and completed each other. Absolute recommended read!

This is a light BDSM romance between a Librarian and a hot British guy. I have to admit, there is something about the British accent which is so alluring, sexy and commanding for me. Probably because I'm American and find the British accent so sexy. The fact that Mr. Smith uses a whip is even sexier.

The scenes in this story helped build and play out the BDSM fantasy. It really is quite lovely. Livvy and Colin's developing relationship was sweet. Todd is a toad. I hope to get to read more about Syb in another story.

What I'm also finding interesting is the author is another Michigan person. I'm wondering why there are so many erotic authors in Michigan. I now wonder as I walk around my town in Michigan, how many erotic authors I'm walking by.

Me gusto, es una historia breve, Colin es escritor y un dominante al que le gusta usar el látigo, Olivia es una bibliotecaria a la que le dijeron que lo ayude en la investigación de un libro.

Mr Smith's Whip is book four in the Taboo Wishes, BDSM erotica by Brynn Paulin. This story is about Olivia 'Livvy' and Colin 'Mr Smith'. Livvy is a librarian with a conservative appearance, who's been fantasizing about Colin dominating her. Colin is an accomplished author who leases a library office to do his work. He's into the BDSM scene and is an experience Dom. He's never looked for a permanent partner until he met Livvy. For the past few months he's been getting to know her and feeling out whether she'd be into submitting. When Livvy's caught up in a daydream, she accidentally moans Colin's name. That's when Colin decides to make his move. He calls her into the research room and locks the door. He questions her and then explains the rules of a scene. He then dismisses her and leaves a note on her car for their date that evening. When she arrives at home, she finds a box from Colin, containing an outfit and toys. They have a HOT dinner and adventure at the Dungeon. At the end of their scene, a coworker of Livvy's recognizes her and begins threatening her at work. Colin and Livvy's relationship deepens, when he's called home to the UK for a family emergency. The emergency is a play to get Colin to return home where his family pushes him to leave writing and join the family business 'politics'. Colin cuts ties with the UK and returns to Livvy. While Colin was away, things with Livvy's coworker escalated and he was fired from the library and arrested after throwing a chair through the window of the Dungeon. After the arrest, members of the dungeon, the library, and underage patrons at the library came forth with harassment complaints. Colin and Livvy profess their love for one another and they are bound together as Dom and Sub, forever.

Un relato erótico de poco mas de 100 paginas, que me gusto. El tema principal es el BSDM, entre un escritor y una bibliotecaria inexperta en el tema pero con muchas ganas de aprender XD.

En la historia vivimos 4 días junto a la pareja, mientras se van descubriendo mutuamente, Colin que se ha sentido atraído por Olivia desde que la conoció, ve la oportunidad de invitarla a su juego de rol y Olivia quien siempre a deseado entrar en el mundo de BSDM pero que no había encontrado al compañero adecuado no lo piensa dos veces para aceptar. Lo que me gusta de la historia es que explican como se llevan a cabo este tipo de relaciones, las reglas que siguen y como poco a poco el dominante ayuda a la sumisa a descubrir sus propios limites.

La trama va muy centrada en los encuentros sexuales que tienen ambos, y como relleno meten un poco de la familia de él y un problema con un compañero de ella, sin embargo esto sobra totalmente y en lo personal no aporta nada a la historia. En fin, recomendada para quien le guste el genero, es una historia shenshualona XD y que sirve para matar el tiempo, nada mas.

Mr. Smith’s Whip by Brynn Paulin

I liked this story so much more than Kidnap and Kink by Ms. Paulin. The main characters showed more tenderness in their D/s relationship and I liked that.

There was a brief interlude with another female (F/F) and a bit of M/F/M but not really a ménage. There were some scenes in The Dungeon but not in what you would traditionally expect.

Olivia and Colin were perfect together and Colin’s aftercare with Olivia was…sigh worthy.

“This is something you want sexually?” she ventured. She understood that the submissive’s behavior was often the key to the Dom’s pleasure. D/s was often a give and take of pain. He might hold the whip, but she held the power for his fulfillment or lack thereof.

Gotta love the cliche of a librarian being a submissive and secretly craving a dom. Believable yes but a little too cliche for me. That being said I liked Livvy. She seemed more like a true version of a librarian versus the old lady that most people think of when you say librarian.

Mr. Smith, Colin, was equally likable. I enjoyed his attitude and the way he treated Livvy. I thought it was very well done.

I think the storyline came together well in this one, but I can't help but feeling like I've read a story so similar to this that it had me wondering if maybe I'd read this before, yet I know I never have. So while I liked it, the story was just ok for me.

Had a bit of an edge as Mr Smith is not all warm and fuzzies! Our librarian here ends up with the man of her fanstasy but he pushes her where she isn't sure she wants to go but goes anyways.

He never thought he would get this chance with her but gladly takes advantage of it once he stumbles into it. Real life collides with fantasy when a co-worker makes her life difficult but it is dealt with realistically and not magically made to disappear or be swept away because it is inconvenient

The climax was unclimatic, it feels too bland to be a climax. I am guessing that f-f action isn't also the thing of the author because aside from the fact that they did it, there wasn't really a big point here that focused it, more like okay one lick then done. The start was unexciting and yet .50 out of 1 exciting.

Maybe 3.5 stars. I just wanted more - everything seemed to happen too quickly yet never really come to fruition. Scenes were hot and H/h likable, but there was almost a menage, almost a bad guy, almost... Well, you get the point.
