Fun board book illustrated by Simms Taback with his signature bright colors depicting animals in motion, lion prancing, a galloping zebra, a jumping kangaroo all of which are to encourage children to move.
I learned a new word from this book! BABOON! I like visiting the zoo and this book features a lot of animals I've met at the zoo, so I think it's pretty great. I like to stand up while my parents read this book and do the actions like the animals (although zebras don't gallop - they RUN, at least according to another book I have).
I think this is great book not only to teach animals but for the kids to play along. We could designate specific moves for each animal and have a lot of fun with this book! The 3-d cover is what drew me to this book.
