A fascinating read, I actually found the final quarter of the book where Tony McNally goes into detail about the psychological problems suffered by ex-soldiers to be the most interesting part. It's something that is very rarely mentioned and is overshadowed by more visible injuries and yet is just as serious.

A really good read, highly recommended.

Was an incredibly moving story. Really makes you think about the psychological effects of war. Sure the body counts are horrendous but so are the lasting damage to the mind. Extremely well written in a completely honest way. To summarise a beautifully inspiring book that's a recommend read to all whether you're interested in the war or not. xx

A brave, honest account of one soldier's experience in the army, serving in the Falklands and Northern Ireland and his struggle with PTSD.
Heartbreaking in places, but a can't-put-down read.
