Left for dead by his doctors after a 1978 heart attack and failed bypass surgery, Dick Quinn discovered an herb that saved his life.
Left for Dead tells his remarkable story and shows how he controls blood pressure and cholesterol, cleans arteries, prevents heart attack and enjoys a wonderful quality of life without drugs or special diets.
Heart Attack - "An overwhelming presence took charge of my spirit, my life force, my soul. I was floating in the air, watching my body down below...That was the day I died for the first time."
Open Heart Surgery - "Truly a remarkable performance by remarkably skilled people working together like a precision drill team, in an extraordinarily equipped operating theatre at a cost of many dollars and much pain. Too bad it doesn't work."
Cholesterol - "I have lower blood pressure and cholesterol, prevented heart attack, felt terrific and enjoyed a wonderful quality of life for years because of a common kitchen spice."
I found a great new perspective on treatment for heart conditions by reading this book. At no point did I suspect any sort of misdirection or falsehoods about anything the author was saying, and it reinforced what I had known previously known and expanded options available to everyone. The only complaints that I had was the presence of redundancy in the book, multiple subjects or anecdotes were repeated throughout and it seemed excessive at times. Overall, I would recommend this book not only for those at risk or already suffering from heart deficiencies, but those that want to preemptively pamper and maintain their heart health.
I believe this book is an out of print, that is a must if you are wanting a more natural way to treat heart disease. Dick Quinn had a heart attack when he took a stress test in the doctor's office. The doctor scheduled an angiogram. He had a death experience his heart attack happened when the blood in his left artery was obstructed. He had a silent heart attack. The angiogram revealed his left artery was 98% blocked. He agreed to have an emergency bypass surgery. He had declined after his surgery becoming weaker and weaker. After being home for a week he went to the lake to get some sunshine. He met a woman who was the Mother of a friend. She noticed how fatigued he was after a short walk from the car. She told him to begin taking Cayenne Red Pepper right away. She spoke of a Dr. John Christopher and said cayenne pepper would recover his health and prevent another heart attack. He felt that it would not work He believed in his cardiologist. He followed post-surgery advice. He was steadily declining including temporarily going blind. He decided to try Cayenne Red Pepper as the doctor's answers to his complaints were that of indifference. Medical doctors in Germany, China and India use herbs because they work in the United States the doctors push drugs and are not taught herbal remedies. He took cayenne peppers which helped him regain his health when nothing else seemed to work. It was a really compelling journey that he went through.
One of the best books I EVER read - I refer to it very often and recommend it all the time - unfortunately nowadays it can only be bought used and isn't converted to an e-book - over 20 years ago it was referred to me for curing IBS and ever since if there is a herb capsule I can take for relief I will try that - not to say I don't go to the doctor but just refer to this over and over as a first place to start - worth buying and keeping as a reference!
A great introduction into herbs and alternative medicine. "Left for Dead" is written in first person by a man who looked for answers after being given the option of repeated surgeries. In his quest to find another way, he comes across cayenne pepper and learns of its medicinal qualities. He later tries to run a business encapsulating herbs but runs into trouble with the government. Insightful journey into just how far you can take alternative medicine before being forced to stop.
My parents sent me this book. This author had a heart attack and a failed bypass surgery and he tells how he discovered an herb that saved his life and how he beat Heart Disease without drugs. In a world full of so much artificial unhealthy stuff - I plan to get around to reading this book to further give me amunition in nutrional discussions.
